I agree that I've gone out of that +/- rate by as much as 10+ grams on top of the threshold, the one I try to avoid the most is fat. I've made it a point to prep my food the night before and log everything in mfp before I even bother eating anything, so if I have to come home and go out to dinner or have dinner I know what will fit and what wont.
Hell I haven't had a hamburger in a month, the day I did have pizza it was 3 slices and I planned a whole day around those slices.
Protein is the easy part, it's other things that have brother and sister macros when trying to fill a single one in that's tricky, if I'm short 70g carbs, 20g protein and can't have any fat for instance I could protein shake it up and eat sorbet or fruit. fuck around and drink some non fat milk get both and still lack in one area.
trying to make things as systematic as possible while not going insane over food.
I don't know if not getting enough fiber is an issue or not so I don't worry about it.
As far as strength goes, I want to build muscle where it lacks, I'm not going to build a bigger chest or bench strength on a killerb cut, silock was able to manage 3 weeks of exhaustive workouts on ud2.0 and it wasn't until around mid 3rd week and 4th week that he was able to get back to his baseline in strength.
He didn't lose any strength but he didn't gain any either.
While it's not paramount, it is what is important to me. I do not go to the gym to look strong and do 4 sets of 20 curls. I go to the gym to be strong because I enjoy it.
We all have our own form of motivation, and mine is not to look great in a bikini, while it would be nice to shred all fast and tell you all to piss off. I'd like to get there at a maintainable rate and not become another joeyballs in the sense that I made it to my peak and then let it all go to shit (not that he did, he's still dreamy but still) slickz would probably be a better example in that case.

Wayne, don't you squat like low 3--#s? And don't you bench 245 like 2-3 times?
Dude, not for nothing but that's not really very strong at all. Especially for someone to be so concerned with their "strength levels" and shit.
I get it I'm not jacked and adonis like, like yourself. if you want to do some strength ratio measurements to compare a lesser sized human to yourself then you'll find I'm pretty fucking strong for a guy who's 5'8 next to someone who's 6'5 and 280 on waivers for the patriots, ready to kick the field goal and fire up the grill.
but here's a toast to you for being more awesome and always right officer.

Not trying to be crazy here, but giving up less than two months' time to lose that amount of fat but stay at a stall in strength for that time is a trade I'd make every single time. Staying still isn't going backwards and I picked up right where I left off
Not to add to your non crazyness but fasting for 80 percent of the day or 48 hour fasts etc aren't part of UD2.0 am I right?
If so could you repeat those same results without the fasting for conversation sake, not making excuses or what not. You still were on a ridiculous deficit and drinking close to what 1000mg of caffeine a day to kill off hunger?
It took Cory quite some time to drop to his ghandi like shredded levels, and I don't ever remember checking in saying I stalled or wasn't making progress.
No ILM fitness here.

lol ain't a whole lot of gym goers that are legit squatting 300+ pounds...
You'd be amazed at the 5 kids I see at the gym legit squatting 300lbs. Had some big ole bautista lookin ass nigga roll up into the gym yesterday threw 4 plates on the bench and did like 3 sets of 10 reps then looked around the gym like he wanted to start a fight. lol

It's not that much weight bro. Lol it's like 75 pounds more than my body weight.
I'm not saying it's not good for Wayne, I'm just saying with his obsession with "maintaining mass" you would think he's a pro lifter or athlete. The fact is he's neither impressively big or strong and he's not lean.

If I diet down to 165-175 somewhere in that range. I don't want to look like Mr. Mom when I get there, granted I'm not goldberg by ANY means. I think I have some decent size for my size and I'd like to maintain that if at all possible.
The fact is he's neither impressively big or strong and he's not lean. I wouldn't mind the muscle mass I have now and 20-25lbs less fat on my body, the ability to still wipe my own ass is also paramount lol

If you dropped to 175-80 and the majority of that being fat you will look more jacked and in the best shape of your life. Also, I highly doubt you'd lose that much strength...definitely not enough to be bummed about.
While this saying is played out, it does hold water. "Want to look like you gained 10lbs of muscle, lose 10lbs of fat." Art is right, I looked the biggest when I was at my lowest weight. It's weird.

Wayne, are you sure you're not so concerned with losing strength that you're compromising your weight loss goals?
I mean, even if you do lose a little strength, you'll get it back in like a month.
I'm simply going to say I trust in Cory...
I don't want a dramatic drop in strength, I get more excited about being able to squat or bench 10 more pounds than last week than I do dropping a pound.
I know I am busting my ass in the gym, I am measuring the fuck out of this food, and I am being dilligent as a motherfucker with this shit. I don't understand what the rush is?
