the good news is I got my cardio in this morning, the bad news is I tried doing defecit straight legged deadlifts and my lower back popped out of place on the second one.

Guess my back was still recovering from the stupid crossfit workout I did the night before. awesome, waiting to hear back from a chiro right now so I can have an ultrasound done on my back to help it recover.

Have you ever had a back injury or do you think its muscular?

may be muscular, but think of it like jenga, first rep went up no problem, halfway through the second rep 45 degree's before finishing, it felt like someone took a jenga piece from my spine right above my pelvis and I just folded over. right now I can't sit up straight on my own and I cant rotate my pelvis to the right. or lift my right leg up without extreme pain in my lower back.

Fuck. That sounds awful. Lower back injuries are no joke. That's why I am banned from doing back squats.

My lower back has been sore lately, feels like spine. Dull ache. Had a massage and the muscles felt fine.

Not sure what to do since doctors just tell you to take it easy. I'm not terribly worried, but I wish I knew what's wrong.

Yeah so damn dumb, it was only 175lbs. I just sat there and laughed after it happened because I knew in about 2-3 hours I was going to hate life. And sure enough I'm like a fucking cripple right now.

Yeah my girlfriend wanted me to go to ER and I'm like why, they're going to say exactly what you said, even if I got an x-ray and they saw something they didn't like what are they going to do, an emergency back-e-otomy?

back is doing a lot better, still some stiffness, this marc pro thing is a fucking life saver. It's expensive as fuck, but I'm considering buying one for myself.

I'm not about to go and deadlift or squat anytime soon, but I am thankful I can at least put my socks on without it looking like a yoga exercise. Still working on walking while not hunched over.

Chiro appt on Saturday to get me all sorted.

Food for the most part has been pretty good this week, I haven't been able to workout so I'm 2lbs heavier which is to be expected.

I did slip up last night, but I didn't get out of hand. Had some bao and a taro boba drink.

140 more carbs than I should've had. As long as I am cleared to do some physical activity without causing more harm. I'll probably start doing some walks and try to hike this weekend.

I'm already going nuts being at home playing video games instead of lifting.

That sounds like hell. Definitely take it easy until pain is gone. Mine was never that bad, though I skipped deads this week and I'll do light squats (225x10-12 or so) to gauge it eventually.

I tore a muscle in my foot playing baseball (could honestly barely walk) and took 1-1/2 weeks off and I think when I started back up about 3 weeks ago, I must have been compensating a bit. My hip flexors felt weak, my squats and DL's were down as well (1-2 reps in the 5-3-1) and it felt off.

But now, I think I'm going to be deck building, shed building, landscaping in my free time for the next while - so weights might have to wait 2-3 weeks. Then it will be shoulder surgery mid November and in a sling for 2-4 weeks.

Just keep dieting, don't use this as an excuse.

I only say that because that's all I can picture happening here.

yes, nothing dramatic. 180/280/60 weight has been pretty much steady at 193 with two dips back to 191. I left my damn scale at work so I have no idea what the hell I am today.

Anyway say a Chiro this morning.

It's going to cost me some money, 450 bucks, maybe even more but I'll need to see him on weekends. Can't get out to him during the week, my hips are off alignment by 10mm, So I'll need to get a lift to put under my ass when I sit. Might even need a prosthetic to re-align my hips.

This is good because I truly believe this is what caused the injury anyway. I know my deadlift form is on point, I am never lazy or cautious with that.

There was a lot of compression in my neck, shit sounded like a chick o stick when he adjusted it both ways, my left pelvic bone is off a bit so my hips are narrow. He relieved a lot of the pressure today and gave me an ultra sound right in the trouble area. Of course he was very conservative with the adjustment because he didn't have the xray at first.

But that would explain why the left side of my body seems "fatter" or why my it always seems like I'm off when standing straight up.

Take chiropractors for what they are, back crackers. They don't go to medical school so you should take their diagnoses with a grain of salt. Your better bet would be a physical therapist who has practiced chiropracty also, because I have had benefits from the chiro part of the PT. Sometimes these people work in a practice with neurologists, which is awesome. I found best results actively recovering my back than just letting some clown pop me three times a week.

That said, back conditions are brutal, it's the worst and most debilitating pain I've ever had and no two people respond the same. Most people have some kind of "alignment" abnormality by the time they're 30, just not everyone has pain corresponding to it.

Yup. And a simple manual adjustment by a chiro (who is not trying to leach you) will help

Maybe confirm with our resident chiro, but my hips are always a .5 - 2" out. 20 seconds with her and all is well. It happens to me so often that I can tell when I need to go in and have her fix em up.

Dr. Anding is a great chiro, I wouldn't of wasted my time going to him if he didn't rehab two very bad ankle sprains.

This being one of them, and my girlfriends ankle. And she had to see this dr for a while, she was all kinds of fucked up. He's sorted her out plenty of times. She's had hip problems as a kid dislocating both femurs.

I know he's not trying to juke me and he's not an average joe.

yes, they are. This isnt news. You arent the only one with out of alignment hips nor is it the sole reason for you hurting yourself.

but hey this is the next big thing for you.

hey tell me about your fitness breakthroughs while you're at it for the moment? Next big thing? I fucking hurt my back bending over, I'm concerned about it. It's not a fucking excuse you twat, I have been in the gym twice since, and started my cardio back up already. I'm rehabbing it on my own, but it doesn't mean I don't want the misalignment fixed.

Go stare ate pictures of Silock some more and sit and banter about your shortcomings over there instead of projecting in here fuckstick.

I don't even know why I bothered to comment.
People are giving you personal experiences/thoughts, and you fluff it off and show a pic of your gf's foot?
No need to get sensitive and defensive about it.

I'll be over here, keeping my mouth shut, dealing with my 2 bugling discs.....
I have no idea wtf back pain is

To let you know I wasn't replying to you. I am just old school and reply after the last person in the thread.

If that was my girlfriends foot, she wouldn't be my girlfriend. That's my doofy ass friend who tried to dunk a basketball on a street court and when he came down one foot landed in the street and one made it to the curb.

You obviously have not been in this thread long, much less this forum dealing with replies from euphoric and his expertise with the iron and having the body of a god that nobody has seen in 10 years.

Whatever, do what you like. $450 could have purchased solid amount of physiotherapy
But you got an x-ray, so that's pretty awesome.

I just had one of those dominating workouts. I couldn't hit my max. Everything I put on I put up. I stopped while I was ahead though. The last set I asked some random kid for a spot and it was like I called him over to witness this shit. I wasn't even close to needing a spot. Nigga was strong today. He-man strong. I was just in the zone. Pretty happy.

feel better though wayne

hey man better safe than sorry my dude. I had the same thing happen to me as well, sadly it was only 190lbs on the bench. I managed to hit 185 for 3 on incline last night and was going to go for more. but the benches don't have safety nets and I didnt want to assume my back would be like *fuck with me you know I got it* lol

I was supposed to be working shoulders anyway.

Backs doing a lot better, I feel the most discomfort from the stepmill at the moment. Nothing too great, more dull than anything. Going in for another ultra sound and adjustment on Saturday.

I don't know why this came off as sarcasm. Anyway. Squatted yesterday, did doubles not to overwork myself.

Ended up doing 320 on a dub.

Unless its something they specifically deal with , medical doctors dont know squat about sports performance... could they help with an injured muscle? to some extent yes but again it depends on what their area of expertise and work experience.

I'm talking if he has a slipped/bulging disc or something else more severe than a strained muscle.
