Nice.

You're wearing a belt though. Not to get into the whole belt/no belt debate but it's certainly a factor.

I lift without the belt to a certain weight. I actually need to start doing crunches to balance out my core. My abs suck, but I can do a 300lb good morning.

Lifting without the belt is a preference for many, I've been using one since high school and more often then not, I can do these lifts without it. But the risk for injury is even higher, just like not having it on while I was doing a stretch accessory lift that caused the spasm.

At the end of the day, my legs are whats pushing that weight up, and I am not wearing knee sleeves. Which I'm sure I could add another 60lbs easy with them.

A belt allows you to use hoop tension to lift more, it increases intra-abdominal pressure and puts too much stress on the lower lumbar.

You're better off without a belt. I'm just saying, not hatin.

Diesel can probably explain his methods more than I. Nothing dramatic but just as his diet went, slow and steady. There is a progress picture page on my blog to show where things are at, I don't see any drastic changes, but I don't expect to, not for a few months.

I'm starting to see steady losses now, but my weight fluctuates a lot depending on what I eat. I'm starting to think creatine is a culprit and may possibly cut it out completely.

I'm not taking as many supplements as before, sometimes not consistently either.

macro template

Here is a statistical breakdown of my eating and weigh in's since I started.

If creatine helps you (ie: you're not one of the extremely small number of people who are non-responders), I don't see why you'd need to cut it just to make water numbers on a scale.

if it's possible causing crazy fluctuations I'm assuming it also plays a roll in what to pull and what to add macronutrient wise when things get changed.

As long as your intake of creatine is consistent (5g/day), it shouldn't cause fluctuations.

Just scanned that doc

Is it just me or are you consistently well over your target calories sometimes by as much as 1000 cals?

And under. I'd say that causes more fluctuation than creatine.

No. There were no set macros before the random yellow highlighted field. Early in the doc.

Certain things are calorie dense, some are not. The sheet calculates cals based off macros.

I don't input what my actual number is. I see where that's confusing though.

correct, as far as I'm concerned. I was never told "hit this many cals" I was just given macros, told to him them, track them on the sheet. The only thing that gets adjusted is the macros, 20-25 carbs here or there, 5g of fat here or there, and 20g protein here or there and I'm sure if any stalls happen things will get dropped or more cardio added in.

Right now only doing 1800cals of miss a week

This is the problem.

Why have spreadsheets, a fitness blog, a youtube channel about lifting, facebook about lifting, post about lifting etc etc when you're fat?

I really don't understand it. Dude, you look like a douche. I'm looking out for you. Cut fucking calories and exercise more and do it consistently for a long period of time.

The spreadsheet is to check in with Cory, I'm doing it his way. I'm filling out what I was told.

again

spreadsheet

mfp

macros are the same, calories are different. Don't worry about that, and that whole 1000 over and under.. maybe you added a 0.

My you tube channel is not dedicated to fitness you dork.

If you really aren't going over on the calories, you might want to check the spreadsheet, because it must be calculating things incorrectly on certain rows. It definitely shows you going way over a few times.

like clockwork.. I dunno I don't know how it adds the numbers up. I'm sure a small integer somewhere is wrong in the formula but I am not an excel wiz.

The saga continues!

As far as results in a few months...is there a defined goal? Checkpoints? Are you where you need to be now at your current point? Legit questions, just curious about the new protocol.

If he's off on the macros, he's off on the calories... i really don't give a rats ass about the calories, but the values are correct... I don't even look at the calories, i look at the + / - on the macro columns, and yeah he's had quite a few "slip ups", but i don't expect him to be robotic about it...

The week he did no training didn't help at all, and his weight does fluctuate like a mother fucker, which makes it hard to make changes, but I don't really pay much attention to the daily weigh ins... the average for the week is what I really look at, his intake, and the cardio he managed to get in...

I hold water pretty good. My daily eating routine normally is to hold off eating until 10am so I can weigh myself as dry and digested as possible.

I then will eat a majority of protein and carbs from 11-4pm, train around 5-8pm get out of the gym around 10 depending if I did cardio or not.

Then I will eat the remainder of my carbs proteins and fats up until midnight. It's not because I'm a slow eater, I'm just beat to shit when I come home from the gym.

188 as of this morning. I'm sure I'll be back up to 190 tomorrow, difference between what I'm doing now and what I was doing before is I have a LOT more strength/energy in the gym.

Did backsquat triples today, wasn't even tired, worked all the way up to 305 before I went down to singles and hit 325 deeper than I did last week.

I've started to measure my creatine on the scale to ensure I'm not getting anymore or any less than 5-6g when I take it.

Also been trying to focus on at least staying under 5g rather than going over 5-10g on carbs and fats. So far so good this week.

191.19 was last weeks average weigh in.

190.87 was this weeks average weigh in.

I did about 49cals more cardio this week than last. Spent more time on the step mill than the step machine, probably made a difference, probably not.

you do all this ridiculously overly-complicated shit and you're not even in shape, at all.

Look dude, why don't you just run a calorie deficit, just that, just cut calories no fucking voo-doo science involved and work out hard for a year?

I don't understand. It's not like you're very strong or a body-builder or some shit. Why don't you just get in shape 1 single time?

of course you'll say "I AM DOING THAT" or attack me in some way.
