Sick of shirtless pictures of me, asks for shirtless front avatar, whatever floats your boat.

Just a tub of lard, move along.

Bodyfat is lower 14-15% right now, but I feel softer with the defecit which is expected. Will be changing protocols in about 3 weeks once my 12 week cycle of carbnite is done.

Can read about it if you care, or ridicule if you must.
Holy shit man, i'm in better shape than you by a good bit and i don't even currently lift or do all that much cardio, and work behind a desk 8-10hrs/day. I play beach volleyball and swim quite a bit, but that's it and i am better off than you. How is it that you have blogs and videos and other shit, and have such a sloppy belly and upper body?

188lbs @ 5'8? WOW. I'm 4 inches taller than you around the same. It's just weird that you've been going this apeshit for years, and what you have to show is the pics above. Those pictures don't frustrate you? Why wouldn't you take some of these guy's advice?

PS: I wouldn't have even posted in this thread if it weren't for having to see your fucking belly in your avatar over and over and over and over again when i scan CSi. However i do read the FF fairly often, and am always amazed, like it's really as if you're trying to stay out of shape, and be made fun of - Add injury to insult, you make your avatar a nearly naked picture of yourself for some reason. I'm honestly not trolling, not trying to be a piece of shit to you, nada. It's just seriously weird what you're doing to/with yourself.

It starts and ends with discipline.

Maybe when a calendar year rolls around of following this "protocol" a switch will flip and Wayne will realize there are more effective and MUCH simpler ways to achieve his desired results.

But I doubt it.

I could always diet down, bulk, and do a 30 week cut.

But I doubt it.

No frustration here, just hoping you see the light. I think you can put in the effort, just gotta focus on the correct things.

Bulking then cutting? Not necessary.

Too much mindless BS and money wasted. Keep it simple.

I see you back at it Wayne!

What exactly do you plan on changing this time around? I still see piles of sweets and junk food. Was that the last one of those type of Carbnites?

The junk food is a bit more selective, but the diet doesn't really work with clean carbs. I've been trying to explain that since day one. But I guess one could argue the diet hasn't worked at all. Not the way Silocks diet has or whatever.

I'm just trying to stick to simple sugars this time around, I'd like to get in 150-200g of protein on the carbnites so it has to be super lean. shrimp is a good source. It's just really hard to keep the fats down unless I make it myself.

on maintenance days I will be eating like I'm trying to build muscle, simple as that just without carbs. 168-180g fat, 148g protein are my base goals during the week.

That's pretty much it, and just going to be smarter about the training this time. Less cardio, more CNS stimulative lifting, more squat cycles, more olympic stuff.

At any point have you considered scrapping the diet all together?

I don't know what you mean by "selective", but if you continue to crush shit food at your rate, nothing will change.

You're now "starting" something AGAIN for 3 months, then to start another "protocol"
Why not start something much simpler that I pretty much GUARANTEE WILL WORK. Which is... eat clean, cardio, lift?

This is the part about Carbnite that I REALLY don't understand. It's essentially the same thing that I did, except with a shitload more fat intake. If you stripped out the fat, you'd be doing UD2, which clearly works with a low fat intake. I know that CN says you need to keep fats high for hormone production or whatever, but there's still a lower and upper limit. On the low end, you obviously need a certain minimum of good fats for function (which appears to be around the 25g mark, if you're getting it from a majority of good fats, like omega 3s, MCT or coconut/olive oil/lean meat/fish). But above a certain threshold, there doesn't appear to be a huge benefit (above the 50g mark).

You could still do crazy carbnites with low fat intake, sticking to cereal, pancakes with sugar free syrup, fat free pretzels, rice, sherbet, fruit, etc.

The major problem I see with your particular setup is that fat gets stored as fat, and your deficit simply isn't high enough to offset that fat intake in a timely manner, which is why it's taking you forever to drop the fat. Because of your slower burn and lesser deficit, any time you fuck up, you get set back far more than you otherwise would if your fat intake were lower.

Just my opinion. Trying to help you out, brosephus.

On a carb nite, you shouldn't have a hugely difficult time getting adequate protein. You should get plenty from places like rice and wheat, which should only require you to get a *little* bit from other sources. A couple of protein shakes would easily put you in the 150g range.

Why less cardio? It will give you a better deficit.

To stimulate ketogenesis, and all the fats I have are good fats. See the video I posted this morning about the paleo tards admitting that they need butter and cream on their diet.

http://youtu.be/AAHsWRxKv78

If you'd like I'll send you copy of carbnite to read, it will explain the fat. I'm horrible at explaining it's necessity.

I want to keep the fat under 65, I don't even think I need up to 700 or so g of carbs, but I want a massive insulin spike. fructose (fruits) aren't options since those will go straight to my liver and not to muscle glucose stores which is the point.

secondly if my liver is full of fructose, from fruit or whatever, after a certain amt of grams you switch to fat storage mode. If I find where I read that I'll share the info.

If you got anything you want to recommend that's high glycemic, feel free to throw the suggestions out. You'd know more than me!

The weight training sessions run from 800-1200 calories, I don't need to waste my time doing cardio for 200cals.

I would agree with this, but only insofar as it's necessary if you're going to LIVE on the diet, as opposed to using it as a tool for weight loss.

Sure. I'll trade you a copy of UD 2 ;\)

While that's true, carbloads go better with a small amount of fructose and sucrose ingested during the carbload (50g fructose, or 100g sucrose). Some is preferred, but it obviously should be a small percentage of your total carb intake.

Keeping fat under 65g, especially with only 700g of carbs, is EASY. Hell, I did a 1500g carb load and only had 40g of fat.

I lived on the three Ps: Pretzels, Pancakes, Pasta. I bought some cream of wheat (which I love), but never got around to making it. Same with a ton of white rice that I bought and never used. Bagels with fat free cream cheese.

Perhaps. I guess it's just a matter of how much you have time for. I agree that if all you can do is 200 cals worth, it's not worth the time. But, if you can commit an hour, you could do a LOT more.

who the fuck said that was my focus? I'm curious if some of the stuff is bullshit as well. What do you think the ketone meter was for?

In the short of things, I lift, I cardio, I crossfit. I don't look like a fucking supermodel because I don't fast and when I eat I eat.

Simple as pie.

It's rather obvious by the ramblings of your blog.

You don't look like you're in shape either and your approaching a YEAR after starting Carbnite. When you eat, you eat like shit. Fasting isn't necessary, it just helps.

The amount of time, money, and "effort" you've put in to get where you're at blows my mind.

If I were in your place I would HOPE people would be telling me this....

Sack the fuck up, curb your inner fat kid, and try to make some real progress.
