Police say a 63-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after a weekend collision that was captured by a dashboard camera. The collision occurred on Eglinton Avenue at Don Mills Road on Sunday. The video, which was posted to YouTube, shows the vehicle swerving across two lanes of traffic, mounting the sidewalk and then striking a road sign. The video then shows the vehicle continuing along Eglinton Avenue before rear-ending another vehicle in the intersection at Don Mills Road. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the collision. “We are very lucky that a pedestrian wasn’t killed on the sidewalk, we are lucky that somebody in the car wasn’t killed and that they didn’t go through the intersection on a red light,” Const. Clint Stibbe told CP24 on Friday. “Any number of situations could have occurred and we are lucky nobody was seriously injured or killed.” Mohammad Daghar is facing three charges, including impaired driving.
