Over $200k HHI is still definitely not well off in the GTA. No range rovers just decent newish normal cars.

i would think you can definitely have a range.. maybe not that PLUS every other luxury like 15k quarterly vacations
but its still easily doable
p.s. 300k HHI in toronto is the top 2%

Doesn't seem too bad. The location is really good. That's one of the areas that we're looking at right now.

On the topic of *good locations* can someone shed some light on why that's a good location?
Aside from the 404 it has nothing, amenities aren't that good and traffic on leslie has gotten really bad, I am talking 20 minutes from hwy 7 to Steeles as an example during rush hour. I suppose the proximity is ok if you work out in the burbs, but the neighbourhoods aren't that nice imo...hence why it's also cheap for a detached there.

If there is a GO train withing walking distance of that house that would make it pretty good, 407/404/Go Train, I think that's solid coverage for commuting.

Not sure about GO, but I'm talking about freight train tracks. My dad lived by John and Leslie long time ago. Didn't know trains like that passed by there, but they do.

That would suck...i don't know how people do it right by the tracks, especially go. These guys stand on the horn at every road crossing, people living near them must love that

Nothing more soothing than to have train horns blaring and a 200 car freight train pass by at 4 in the morning lol

yo dawg seriously...that is a 50x142 lot. That is pretty good for the area. I'm not even being sarcastic. What's wrong with 50ft, Hator? My lot is 45ft and I hate it. More grass = more weeds

50ft wide is a decent sized lot. New houses these days are 35-40.

I'm not hating. But I know what risky is thinking. That a 50ft lot for that price is obsurd.

Yeah, I was looking at the train tracks there. An equivalent house in that area is about $100k cheaper than in Unionville. That's reason #1 for us looking there, and reason #2 is that there's way less Chinese people compared to Unionville. My guess is that we're gonna end up in Unionville though cause we're gonna put our older guy back to his old montessori school.
Got to be careful around John St. with the train tracks. Houses there seem more reasonable compared to Markham though.
