right now i'm ranked around #340 of 600 in my region...but the scores being added later in the day are much worse than the scores already up top 60 heh yeah right. not going to happen especially since it's doubtful that muscle ups will make these WODs since they're not for "everyone". i smell a long met-con with wall balls coming up..

I did the wod but because I don't have double unders I had to do 90 singles. My coach also only wanted me to do the bar to check my form.

I did 3 rounds and 6 singles. My feet were on FIRE from those singles.

I did it again last friday and got 5 rounds + 11 double unders. Currently 240 of 561 in my region.

And it is so true about the during vs. after mentality. Why couldn't I just lift that rope 1 more time?

Nice job. I finally did it today and got 2.2 rounds cause of the damn double unders

They are a bitch, although I am finally getting better. I got five in a row, that's a record for me. I'm going to be practicing every day from now on until I figure them out.

wife is 3035. We are both just above the 50% mark.

If any one wants to compare with me my name is Philip Breisch... leave me a comment on my page if you do so I can check out your stats. We should put a CSi team together.

today was so good.

warm up
400m run
15 good mornings
15 back extensions
15 reverse hypers

A - 5 rounds
5 deadlift 20 second rest build weight each set.
100 meter sprint

B: amrap burpee's for 30 seconds. 5 rounds

I don't know how those people were able to sprint so damn fast after deadlifting, my legs felt like fucking tree trunks. I set a PR on the deadlifts 5 at 130kg (286lbs). I could've lifted more but was worried I wasn't keeping form.

Coach said I was, so I was happy.

I try to go at least 4 days a week, now that they have opened up weekend classes I think I may go my normal 4 and check out one of the skill classes on sunday to help out with stuff I suck at instead of them getting thrown into a wod and trying to focus on improving at it.

I really need to work on pull ups, and double unders, and box jumps. anymore than 8 and I'm out of breath, yesterday it was

Part A:
Amrap strict pull ups 4 rounds followed by 30 box jumps then 3 minute rest.

Part B:
8 GHD Situps
15 push ups
no rest 3 rounds.

Anyone done this week's Games workout yet? 15 minute amrap of 9 155lb deadlifts, 12 pushups, and 15 box jumps on a 24" box.

Also did a doozy of a wod yesterday...21-15-9 225lb deadlifts and 135lb overhead squat. Shit got really heavy really fast.

I will probably have a pitifully low round number, the deads will be the easiest part for me, the push ups however and box jumps will slay me.

Beefbox I beat you by two reps, lol. I was just shy of 8 rounds by 5 reps, got 7 full rounds and all the way to 10 box jumps. Fucking hard workout! It kills me that I was so close to eight

My dad called me to have breakfast literally as my alarm went off for me to do 11.2 I can't tell my dad no. I can always go work out, may not always get to have breakfast with my dad.

came in today late without my shoes on, did the warm up barefoot

800m run was more focused on not stepping on some crack pipe or syringe or broken glass rather than running without shoes on.

30 second ball slams, 30 second squat holds 3x
30 second jumping shrug squats, planks 3x

workout part A
60% 1 set 50kg (110lbs)
70% 1 set 60kg (132lbs)
80% 3 sets of your 1rm. 70kg (154lbs)

workout part b for time (sprint)
4 rounds
10 hang power cleans @ 44kg (97lbs)
10 pull ups any way you can do them full extension and chin above bar only requirement.

I did 8:34 used a box assist on the pull ups, around the 3rd round I was more focused on trying to close my fist than I was trying to clean the weight or do a pull up.

seriously blasted the piss out of my forearms.

11.3 Wod is gonna be tough. That is a pretty heavy weight for me, I think I can get a few rounds in, but it won't be pretty.

I love squat cleans! I actually just did it an hour ago, got 17 rounds but I think I can get 20. I was so gassed that I couldn't take a breath on the way up from the bottom. I am liking this week's wod, it will probably eliminate a lot of folks since it's so strength based.

I'll let you guys know how I did, doing it friday. I'm shooting for 25. should be able to shoot that weight up pretty easy, it's the squat clean that will probably gas me.

i just hope i get at least 10 reps. that's 20# over my bodyweight and i don't have efficient lifting technique

most i have ever squat cleaned is 155# (yesterday) but i have muscle cleaned 190# lol. the heavier it gets the more i just want to muscle it.

also, i can't hang clean for shit, so my technique from the ground is just to pull early.

LOL man was I shooting for the fucking stars, I couldn't even get 1 rep with that godamned weight. I got 2 reps with 70kg after 8 failed attempts. squat cleaned into thrusters. Almost got 75kg but I felt my back curving like boomerwangs dick trying to lock it out up top so I dropped it.

going to try it again tomorrow fresh and not after a fucking amrap wod of sprints and pull ups lol.

I didn't want to be a dick when you said you were shooting for 25, but I did chuckle a little. lifting that much weight above your waist is always a lot harder then it sounds. I am going to work on my squat cleans a bit the next 2 days and hit it again on sunday I think.

Lol. I was going to be pissed if he got any amount of reps with that weight while being a noob. It's taken me a couple years to master the clean (as well as the snatch). It's a really precision movement that takes a long time to master. Keep practicing you guys!

I've done powercleans in the gym even after high school so it's nothing new to me, front squats, and front power clean squats which I guess is a snatch *shrugs* It's one of my favorite lifts, so it's probably why I was so confident. But we use KG at my gym instead of LBS so I really wasn't mentally thinking I was going to have to clean and jerk my ideal body weight for my height.

The easy part is the push press, its coming up after getting parallel with that weight that was killing me. I came in today with flat slip on vans instead of my running shoes.

My coach only let me lift 54kg, I was building my bar and felt good with 64 and was ready to go RX. I ate clean yesterday and everything so I was a little bummed about it.

I got 14 rounds and 1 squat clean with 54kg. I did my first 3 with 64 and she made me drop the weight during the wod, I totally could've done it with 64 =(

I know everyone on this website thinks I'm full of shit but it's cool lol. I posted up a progress shot since I started crossfit the 2nd week of feb and probably went twice a week, I'm up to a solid 4 days a week now and avoid days where I'm hitting the same muscle group twice (upper body wise)

I don't think anyone thinks your full of shit, just that you fell into what we call the crossfit trap... Just cause it don't look hard on the whiteboard............

With a few exceptions I think you'll find most of us crossfiters are pretty supportive.

did warmup/practice run today since there was no judging, but today's WOD was the 5 minute thing. tomorrow there will be judges

1st minute: 5 reps @ 133
then 3 reps @ 155, 2 reps @ 165, then called it a day

the worst part is definitely the squats

i think i can get 10 reps

LOL well I appreciate it, didn't mean to get all defensive. Good shit antess, I was really having a problem keeping rack on those squats @ RX hence why I kept dropping it yesterday when I tried it out. I was trying out every grip position possible to find it.

I think it's SUPER HARD going into a power clean, then going into the squat. best strategy for anyone is going to be in their ability to catch the weight at the bottom of the squat and thruster it up.

the only way to go deep into a front squat is to have the bar racked across your chest, just on your fingertips and have your elbows up high. There was a good demo pic somewhere I will try to find it.

Yeah dude, I have beefbox's sentiments, the workout is always easy until you actually do it! Lol. Happens to me all the time, I always get my ass kicked whenever I think a wod will be easy. No one thinks you're full of shit, and I think I can speak for most of us here when I say that we support what you're doing and are proud another CSi'er has taken on crossfit. \:\) Keep up the good work man.

Nice job antness, I still think you could do more if you practiced them more often. I was going to try it again today but didn't because I wasn't feeling very strong on the cleans. Plus everyone else who repeated it at my gym only got 1-2 more reps so I pussed out.

So I did Diane again, pr'd by like 8 seconds or so at 4:07. And it's on YouTube! Watch if you so desire:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zO57RtVeLA

I was hoping to break the 4 minute mark, but for some reason I couldn't go unbroken on hspu's this time for some reason. Oh well, next time.

not TOO bad for 20# over bodyweight

Nice on Diane!

HSPU look pretty beastly... most I can't get in a row is 15, but that is a long way from the 0 I could get at this time last year.

edit: And that is awesome Antness on the WOD.3

Holy shitballs, anyone see the 11.4 workout yet?

60 burpees (jump over loaded barbell for each)
30 OHS with 120lbs
10 muscle ups

Amrap in ten minutes!! Most folks aren't even going to finish one round.
