There are a few reasons I picked this header, 1: because of the cost,
2: it clears the AC(I live in AZ right now it's 109 degrees outside and I need my AC)
3: The location of the person who makes it, they are local..
4: and this The header test long thread on HT

MSRP is $675 why did you pay $81 over MSRP? when is it goung on? let us know how you like it
675$ is uncoated and tax free...Since I am local I have to pay taxes..I also got a flange kit and a flex pipe to connect it to my exhaust..

Hello. Could you please give us some contact details of the shop you got the header? How is ground clearance? On which engine are you mounting it?

The shop i got it from is : Import Powerhouse
The ground clearance should be great seeing how the collector is angled an not under the engine...
What engine am I putting it on? I am putting it a b18c in a 92 honda civic with AC

What's with the extreme bends at the top?
The bends are so that each of the primarys have equal length

I think almost all headers will fit with ac.
Your right most off the shelf headers will clear your A/C...But the big name header makers like
DTR,SMSP,Hytech ANR won't clear your AC...After seeing the results and having a buddy of mine switch from a JDM ITR 4-1 header and seeing the differand it made on the dyno I was sold on getting a better header.... I'm glad i waited to pick the RMF and I can't wait to test it at my local hondata tuner Locash Racing

No but i should have one in about 2 weeks..... I am just waiting for my Tuners new dyno to get here.... When it gets here I will be doing a new baseline with my car as it sits now, then I will install the header and see what it gains before and after tuning...

are you running stock manifold now? If not what will bae line be with?
JDM b18c(JSR)
AEM hybrid intake system
SKunk2 intake manifold
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams
Toda springs and retainers
Endyn Ported head with skunk2 high compression valves
JDM DC sports 4-1 header with a 2.5" collector
Apex N1 2.5" exhaust
Hondata s200 tuned by Joe @ Locashracing/HASport
310cc RC injectors
HASport solid motor mounts
Last timeit was tuned it put down 189.6whp @ 8200rpms(I know I could have made more if I reved it up farther)
But he is getting a new dyno, and I want to do a baseline on my setup with his new dyno before adding this header..
So I'll be going from a JDM DC 4-1 header to the RMF header

Congrats on the new header. I’m just not a fan of that particular header.
I want to try one of these two
New DTR unit
or this SMSP unit

There is no such thing as the best header, what works in one setup might not work in another. Just like madtown has his preference. You have yours.
I'd bugs me when everyone does a dyno of 10 headers on one engine and see which one make the most.
Car's don't work like that, there are too many variables.
Your absolutly correct there...But if you want A/C in your swapped EG and a better then your average off the shelf header, your choices are very limited.. Factor in the wait for say an smsp header or An-R and give that a $ value....
Then again I'm not trying to sell any headers, I just bought a new one and thought I would share my joy with everyone on ClubSi...

Yeah i know I am having to have my exhaust modified to fit a cat and a test pipe for dyno days and days at the track, but a muffler shop quoted me 75$ to do it, it a pain but hey what can you do..

100% True mintgecko!! I’m not ripping on that RMF header at all, who knows, maybe I will change my mind down the road and end up with one. Hell I go through headers faster then I go through tires. Header number 5 might be in the Si before the end of summer but I think I will get the ATS FD first.

Here is a link I found to some other header testing.
http://bob123e.tripod.com/thegreatheadertest/
Toda was identical to smsp but beat it by one ft/lb of torque.
And from what I know fits a whole lot better.
what are the price comparisons of those two headers roughly?
