On my Mini I wanted a white roof and mirrors but couldn't really find it. My roof and mirrors are black so I was thinking of just wrapping them. Imo is probs cheaper to wrap the mirrors than to get new caps but I'll double check that after. Anybody "know a guy?"

Check them out.

i thought about wrapping the tlx red...$2500. eff that. That is pretty average. Wrapping a car is more expensive than a new paint job. Don't forget you get a layer of protection (depending on the materials used) in addition you get the option to revert back to the stock colour.
Yeah if you're talking about a Maaco special. Ain't no proper colour change going to cost $2500. Besides fuck wrapping. Seen and read the horror stories after peeling it off and finding cuts in the paint and scrapes. Fuck that ricer shit.

+ juan. i saw that price on gtawraps or google can't remember, didn't search too hard. still $2500 that you can't wax, shouldn't put through a car wash, and can chip and peel and look like ass? and i haven't seen a proper shiney finish on them either. no fankyou.

you can wash, i take it through touch-free when i had it on the s5 you don't need to wax as it's probably matte and if not matte, it would be glossy

I emailed one co and they quoted me $500 to do the roof and mirrors. That's expensive imo. Don't know if I like it that much.

That's about right give or take 100 or so. It's more expensive than people realize. However if you want to do just the roof as many people don't see it up close and it's pretty flat and smooth you could always give it a shot yourself.

restyleit can eat dick and go die in a fire!
although yes it was a "sponsorship" and i got a break in the price, they cut a lot of corners and into my paint of my NSX, even after prep and paint with primer sink you would see the cuts in the paint AFTER.
had to get my car painted twice last year.
but I am happy i went back to paint.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. Fuck wrapping, so gay.

Ya it's too expensive anyway. I thought it would be a cheap, quick, and easy way to get what I wanted but it seems as if it's not.

Everyone has their own opinion but after dealing with years of chips, buffing and polishing trying to keep a black car flawless, I wrapped the full front clip with Xpel Ultimate film. It is self healing with heat and I can tell you that it is not bullshit. It has been about 2 years since I had it done and the car looks as good as the day it was done with not a single swirl, chip or mark. No cutting because it was all done with templates printed on the spot. I personally would not buy a car without having this done, especially if it is a dark colour.
I had it done by Protex in Milton and have nothing but good things to say.
Pic is just after it was installed with all badging removed:

What does your wrap which is intended for exactly what you said... Protection have to do with some gay colour wrap?
Both are completely different and have nothing in common other than sticking on to the car lol. Btw, I've seen horror stories about clear bra installs as well with paint cuts lol. At the end of the day do what makes you happy.
Listed my film installer that I endorse and showed an example of his work...

Hahaha
that sucks.
i want to get my hands on a roll and try to wrap the entire bumper. i hate seeing the cut lines and it seems like that's how they all are installed now. if that's the case then i'll just buy a pre-cut kit from ebay and lay that on. it can't be rocket surgery.
