I bought a D800E yesterday lol. I'd been thinking about jumping ship from Canon for a LONG time, and with a price of $2399 brand new in box, I'm like "ummmm obvi." I think I'll grab a D810 in a few months and make the 800 into my backup body. For the price, there is just no comparison to the D800E sensor, so I am very happy with my deal, and also looking forward to seeing the D810 files.

D600 works great for me, though i'd love a D810...if you're in the mood, feel free to pick one up for me too. :naughty:
Since you're switching, what lenses are you picking up?

How do you feel about the frame rate when you're shooting at the track? Will you use something else or use your superior skills?

I'm going to rent a D4 or something if I need a motorsports camera. Most of what I shoot is still life...

oh yeah, that makes sense. I still want to rent a D4 for a bike race sometime, but gotta get paid bitch! So that's my fault.

maybe you can explain it in your fancy ways, but what is the benefit of the E over the non-E?
