Take the camera off auto selection and center focus that bitch!

slowest printer ever....  That's over two hours on one file (granted, the overall file is 50" wide by 10 feet long, but still.  The images aren't mine, fwiw, I'm just the schmuck who gets to stick them in a big file and print them.
I'd tolerate it just to have access to that printer!

The Roland prints ok, and it's fucking huge (it'll do like 60" paper), but we ran out of paper and moved on to the 44" Epson 9800 in my boss's studio, and that printed much nicer and a fair bit quicker. Not as big, but the inks are way better.

Aperture priority is what I use 95 percent of the time.

Small aperture at a close focal distance = small depth of field. It looks like the focus is right dead smack in the center of the flower, leaving only a thin line in focus. It gets way worse with macro lens btw...
Try using your flash and upping the aperture up to at least 4.0, preferably f5.6-7.1... Anything less then f11 will leave a small dof in macro or macro-ish photography.
