pinch the pads under running water. Works great.
Now, the pads have to be dry, or they'll start forming mold. Ask me how I know

You don't want to wring out the pads, especially the velcro-backed pads, because the backing will start to separate. Go outside, FAR AWAY FROM YOUR CLEAN CAR, put the pad back on the buffer at low speed, and just spin the water out. IT only takes a minute or so and the pad will be completely dry, but it will fling water all over the place.

I think kit #3 is your best bet as it comes with the most stuff. With that being said, Adam- the thing you need to know is you begin with a cutting pad (whether it be light, medium, or heavy cut), and then just work your way back down, going to a polishing pad, and then a finishing pad. For my pads, I go yellow, white, black, and I *think* I got my kit off of autopia somewhere, its been awhile though.

Also, feel free to post these in the detailing thread!

Meh, its alright. It doesnt come with a finishing pad or a heavy cutting pad. I would get one that comes with one pad for the following:
 Heavy Cutting
 Medium Cutting
 Light Cutting
 Finishing

With that being said, I think youd be better off buying one of the above kits.

You said you go w/this order Yellow, White & Black.
 I have
White 6.5 inch Polishing Foam Pads
Less dense foam formula for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so its perfect for pre-wax cleaners.

Gray 6.5 Inch Finishing Foam Pads
Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. It has no cut and will apply thin, even coats of waxes, sealants, and glazes.

Blue 6.5 Inch Finessing Foam Pad
Flat pad has soft composition for applying glaze, finishing polish, sealants, and liquid waxes. Flat pad provides full contact with paint surface to minimize the pressure applied by the user.

 Orange Low Profile Foam pads
The 5.5 inch pad will remove light to moderate scratches and swirls and light oxidation. Firm, high density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.

Ok, w/all that out of the way..what order should I use them ?

Also, w/what combination of waxes should I use. I have a sealer liquid wax that a local detailer uses, called liquid Glass I believe..

Everything else I will need to purchase locally. What other waxes/cleaners/polishes/glazes/sealers/etc do I need.

I am going to wash/clay before I start...got a big show on Sat to attend.
