Nice shot man, I really need to get out with my 10-22mm more.
Me?
If so, I was using my 24-70 full open and at 1/6th of a second.
I could have really used my 16-35 f/4 VR and my tripod but I only wanted to take one lens for the weekend and it was a weekend in NYC that begs for a UWA the biggest part of the trip was a wedding so I wanted the extra reach and stop.

did you add motion blur to that shot? the only reason i ask is that you've got blur before and after some parts of the cars. almost like they're moving forward and back forward and back, instead of just blur behind, like they're moving forward real fast.
anyway, landscape photographer i'm not, but i tried...

did you add motion blur to that shot? the only reason i ask is that you've got blur before and after some parts of the cars. almost like they're moving forward and back forward and back, instead of just blur behind, like they're moving forward real fast.
There was motion blur in the original image, but I wanted to add more. Originally I made it so that the cars didn't have the trails, then liked it with the ghost to the right, and liked it even more with a bit of the ghost to the left. Normally I don't do that because of the whole shaky feeling if you look at it a certain way, but liked it in this instance for some reason.

I shot a video review of this car (CTS-V wagon) and took a few stills. I like the way this one came out. I did get to sample for a few minutes...it's ok. It's almost unusably fast.

We had a CTS-V wagon for a few weeks back in April. (don't ask WHY... I didn't)

Bring the white back from the fall, and don't darken the sky so much. Otherwise it's a tasteful use of HDR.

Not sure where you are at but it's a good 2 to 2.5 hour drive from me... I haven't been there since I was a kid. There's also some awesome caves and Indian burial sites out that way.

Quoting my description:
I did not use any photoshop trickery in this photo aside from a blur to the top and bottom of the image. All adjustments were done within the RAW settings.
I took my friend's Pentax lens, which obviously doesn't mount to the 5D Mark II body, looked through the view finder, and adjusted focus by pulling the lens back and forth in front of the sensor. Obviously this caused a lot of color distortion and light leaks which resulted in the image's appearance.
I'm really glad I tried this while we joked about trying to mount his lens to my camera.

Actually... any lens! Just unmount it. You can even tilt it to get some tilt-shift added.

ahh, well i guess about the same distance
this spot was interesting to me. the greenery reminded me of the PNW but the sand reminded me of the arizona desert.

Don't take this the wrong way, I suck at taking photographs, but don't you think the burger could be a bit sharper? Maybe a little highpass overlay in PS?

I don't think unsharp mask is going to fix the shallow depth of field. The left side of the burger and the onions crisps above the burger patty look pretty sharp to my eye.

Don't get me wrong it is not exactly what I intended but I still liked it.
I did have plenty of room with shutter speed and iso to stop down the aperture but I was just playing with my food.
