1x6 can be found everywhere but not 1x9

Where else can I get lumber other than Home Depot, Lowes, or Home Hardwares.

1x9 is an odd ball length, normally 8 or 10 feet

Not the length.
1” thick x 9” wide. Any length. Well at least 6’

why don't you buy the bigger width and have them rip it down on the saw

Can’t find anything wider than 6”
Lots of choices for 2” thickness. Not 1”.

what type of wood are you looking for? mdf? pine? oak?

home depot has some larger panels you can cut down, or take some 6" ones and glue another length on with biscuits

Are these actual measured or nominal dimensions you're looking for because different materials are measured differently

I just need to re-make this planter.

Just built this deck with 1x6x6 and it was only $2.30 something per piece
It would be perfect if they had 1x9x6.

Actually Rona has 1x10x6, but it's pine and over $20 a piece.

why not just rebuild it with 2 x smaller pieces instead of one big one?

if not then your gonna spend more money on buying more expensive stock and cutting it

seems like your're overthinking such a small project

Just more work joining 2 pieces together.
and not sure if HD or Lowes would cut 3" off lengthwise.
I don't have a table saw. Have the circular saw, but...just wanted to locate the 1x9s so it's much less work.

As in laminating boards to make one solid area or just cutting out of a piece of wood?

OP - why use wood, use cake product to make a new box and write it off as a business expense.

Cake business would have to be profitable in order to have write offs.

I am going to attempt laminating 2x4s to make a solid top for a work bench in the near future. Just purchased a router for this project. Doesn't look too difficult

why a router? are you using it for a biscuit bit?

grab some long pipe clamps or a 4x8 sheet of plywood where you can add some stops to clamp to.

or add a 1x2 inside the planter to join the two pieces of wood together.

if this is outside, i’d recommend pressure treated or cedar.

A router to flatten the surface without a planer like this guy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0SDvKHcL5M

Pipe clamps will be required too.

I was planning to just make the top out of 2 sheets of 3/4 ply but the laminated 2x4s seems more durable.
