Boston postponed. I'm shutting down all training after Sunday and going into base building. going to recover for a bit then ramp up for September (likely month for Boston reschedule). Hoping to get a few 100+mpw in over the next training cycle.
Saw that - impacted a lot of folks here in So Cal. Overall the running community is pretty bummed right now. Rumor is this will impact all events through end of April, possibly May.

I did 6.5 miles last week on [3] runs. wooo
not back yet tho I think I'll reduce to 4mpw for the forseeable future
achilles still gets tender to the touch after a 2 mile easy jog, but walking is 100% normal and no limping in the morning [unlike what I had for years prior to my stoppage]
Good to see you're still at it. I've learned a ton about how things are connected thanks to the broken leg. One thing out of alignment can wreak havoc on everything else.
Still running during the pandemic. Keeping a low profile and choosing routes less traveled. Seems to be the one thing keeping me sane during our Shelter-in-Place mandate.

I was going to shut it down for a bit, but running is the only thing keeping me sane, it seems. Reducing my mileage down to 60-70 mpw for now. What a weird time to be alive.

Ran a mile for shits and giggles today. Haven't done any speed work in over a month and still ran a 5:15. I think I can get close to 5:00 with some distance specific workouts.
Ran Sunday morning and rolled the ankle pretty good. It's a bit swelled on the outside, so taking it easy for 5-7 days. Hopefully just a mild sprain, but man this sucks. Staying patient...

They just closed the gyms here again in So Cal (again). Fortunately I think the ankle is good enough to resume regular outdoor runs. 6 miles tonight with 0 complaints.

Thanks man! I won't touch the gym for a while. Especially since I'm in Texas.
Knocked out 25+mi this past week. No change in weight. This has happened in the past and usually within a week or so I'll drop some lbs. Aiming for 239 by the EOM.

How's your nutrition looking? Even with a lot of running, it can be hard to make gains if you're still stuffing your face (ask me how I know )
I've been doing IF for a solid 4 months now. Usually I have 1 meal a day (1400-2000 calories) as this gives me the option to eat whatever I want. However, I suspect I've been cheating more and more lately, leading to slower weight loss. Not to mention I've also been eating more throughout the day.
Thought I'd update this thread after nearly a year of inactivity. Ran the Big Bear Half after having a sour performance at the LA Marathon (sinus congestion + knotted stomach).
This was #4 of back-2-back races that had all been rescheduled from earlier in the year. So I went into this race with 0 expectations and just wanting to have fun, and run by feel.
Felt pretty good the entire race, glancing only at the watch when I'd hit a mile interval. I couldn't believe it... my intervals were heading into negative splits for much of the run; 7:30, 7:15, 7:11... all the way down to 7:01. Managed to hold together the last couple miles for a Half Marathon PR - 1:34:49. Smashed by previous PR by a full 7 minutes from almost 3 years ago.
This was my first downhill race and totally loved it. A little sore today, but not nearly as bad as friends who ran similar efforts lol. Thinking the strength training helped me out a lot.
Anyway, pretty happy with my performance and will probably do it again next year.
