Jay, let me know what type of beer you like, my wagon is in need of everything. I've got the clay bar and two big bottles of 105/205 and even a compound buffer I haven't even used yet

Chamois take forever because they fill with water so fast, so you have to keep wringing them out, that and they leave a butt ton of swirl marks behind. Not to mention they stink and are expensive. $20 or whatever and you'll never look back and it'll last you forever.
Thanks fellas, I started out with the clay, then 205 on a orange lake country pad. Normally I would use a white polishing pad but the car had some decent swirling (hard to see on a white car) but I knew it was a good amount because the pearl wasn't showing like it should. So tested the more aggressive pad with the 205 and it worked great.
After sealed with the Blackfire wet diamond on a blue finishing pad.
Bill bring over that 205/105 and we Will knock it out quick!

Is it rust? I've been told it's tree sap, rail dust, road tar, whatever. My sister in law has it all over her white crv so I'll have to polish that out too.....shit.
It's from the plows scraping up the roads in the winter, it's gotta be iron or some sort of metal dust from the plows/road surface... So it is rust but it's not rust from your car My parents car has it all over the front fenders, you can pick it off with your fingernail.

Be careful with M105. Although it does make very quick work of removing scratches, on most paints it is removing way more clear coat than you need to be. Its basically liquid sandpaper and I see it being used way too much.

So would you suggest 205 for getting rid of swirls? I've been using ultimate compound with good results.

Doing my detail as we speak, have you tried menzerna products? Bmws have pretty hard clear coats, this stuff plus orange pad does wonders. Even my 17 year old paint comes out pretty good, I don't go too hard doe as I am trying to preserve the oem clear as much as I can.

+1 have a couple of bars. I would need a full day to do mine from top to bottom. - wash - iron x - wash - clay - wash - remove swirls - wipe down w/eraser - stage 1 polish - stage 2 polish - repeat stage 2 x2 or 3 - finally LSP Anyone use a foam gun/cannon? There are two types, one for pressure washers and one for reg hoses.
Are these worth it? Do they help or is it just a novelty item? Got this one and it's worth it for those quick washes where you don't need to drag out buckets
poor environment...so much water waste
