Instead you have to turn on the radio to keep the car "awake" when getting gas.

Damn right.

Except for a transfer case seal that was installed backwards (so they say) on our brand new x3 and it left a clear puddle in my garage floor -- I wouldn't have caught it if we didn't let the car sit for 2 days after we picked it up.

At least the dealer was apologetic (rather than give me bs about it's wear & tear, etc.), offered me one of their loaners (not an Enterprise rental) free of charge on the spot and got it fixed up within a few days.

I wasn't too annoyed w/ our "new delivery problem" as I would be if I was similar to Dumbass' problem (where any fixes could damage the paint / edges that lead to rust). But overall, it still sours the new car delivery experience. Whether you plunk down $20k or $50k for a car, you just don't expect to have to bring it back within a week (or within a month) with problems - big or small. It sours the whole new car purchase experience.

As for the argument about where the glass is supplied from. It doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, I'm buying a product that the badge on the hood reflects. So whether it's made in-house or they got it from a supplier; it's still the auto maker's choice on their supplier so I'd still hold them at fault. (it's like if your iphone screen craps out - you blame Apple as a shitty product, not the supplier they got the screen from and not the mainland company out in the sticks that slap the phone together).

Good news. Stopped by the dealer this morning for a quick check and they are going to replace it. Service Manager didnt make a big deal and over analyze it for damage either. First TLX with the issue he said, but he did mention a few MDX's with mysterious cracks.

Still sucks to happen on a brand new car, but at least they are taking care of it. Budds put 3 windshields in the Mini that all leaked, cracked and werent installed right and it was like pulling teeth to get each consecutive repair done.

don't get why the mini would be an issue if its all under warranty, they'll just have to keep re-doing it till it gets done right. warranty covers those extra costs anyways.

The issue would be driving out to Oakville many many times, their "good enough" attitude when it visibly wasnt installed correctly, breaking things while repairing the windshield, not testing it for leaks or noise before giving it back, you name it. And all on a car that was brand new. Sure it didnt cost anything, but I still wasted my time and gas dealing with them, the inconvenience of the car constantly going back or not being drivable and just their poor attitude.

They also had to replace the entire panoramic roof once because it didnt open/close properly and it leaked. My wife drove around for a month with it duct-taped shut and the power disconnected from it while they decided what/how to deal with it.

The car was leased and fully inspected by one of their own people before it was returned. Low k's, no excessive wear, etc. Car was perfect and given a clean sheet. 3 months later I got a bill estimate in the mail from Budds for a brake service, new tires and a missing key. But, the car had about 4000 more k's on it then when it was returned. Those clowns had been driving it and were trying to stick me with the repairs. It did get resolved after a few calls to Budds, Mini Canada and my lawyer.

Ive never dealt with a bigger bunch of sneaky, dishonest, lazy and incompetent morons then Budds and Mini.

Thanks for the feedbacks. I will think twice before going to any of the Budds' dealerships in Oakville

no offense, but what is up with bumper? Looks like some CT body kit special. TLX has nice clean lines, minus the headlights and grill and this "skirt package" ruins it badly IMO.

Might be the angle of the pic, but I think it adds a lot to the car, but it's not the front lip, moreso the sides and rear:

I don't like that kit either. When are they going to get rid of that ugly crease on the front ends? The rear looks really good.
