hatorade : NO

2015 TLX tech pkg, white, brand new, lease. would be exactly the same as i'm paying now. 4banger, OEM kit.

-heated steering wheel
-heated and powered seats
-heated rear seats
-nav
-lane assist
-brake assist
blah blah

issues holding me back:

-no 6spd, haven't driven the 4 banger yet but i have a fwd V6 right now, and it's nice..V6 moves pretty damn good.

-made in america..yay

that's about it. hit it?

would rim and drop it.

I guess the big thing is to determine if it's enough of a difference to you to pay for the premium for the new car and the hit for unloading the old one.

It's going to be better but usually every new similar car is for the most part. Your current car is pretty new and I'm sure does the job just as well and it's not even old or doesn't look old at all.

word, you're right it's really dependent on how much honda will give me back for my car. i would hope that it would atleast cover the loan.

I found there was a big difference in the 6MT TSX vs the auto. I assume it would be the same for the TLX.

i was givin er in the V6 last night..in mexico. jeebus it's no slouch.

but the paddle shifting is slow for my tastes. i hear that the 4cyl is much faster and that it rev matches on downshifts.

i'm trying to figure out if the suspension firms up between the modes, i was in econo mode and hit a bump, and the car floated like an old buick over a big bump, i haven't been able to replicate it tho.

That particular one has the "launch kit" on it.
Those rims and body skirts are dealer options.
What are they asking for those?

Looking at the picture again, those skirts don't colour match very well.

sorry it's not the actual one in the pic but same thing except the rims (I'll put aftermarket rims on it for spring)

total price is $48,598 tax in for the tech, optioned the way I want it and warranty. pretty much just with the oem kit.

this is the 4banger thus it has the 8spd tranny (ie. the NON issue one right now), the other is making me sick with work lol...fawk. this dct is USA built and decent. just make sure if you buy you bring it in for any software updates req'd. at least it's not CVT

it's a nice car but not the *most* exciting...but it does the job very well...drive one for a week. um $50k? is it? i guess cos it's the tech pack one. but hey any other make/model similar with all the trimmings im sure is similar priced.

the 4cyl moves decent as honda places the power band much lower/mid-range now (same as the '15 Accord 2.4 4cyl im driving now), honestly it's great for daily. 206hp with 182 trq is decent given the weight of the car. also on the hwy after 110kmh is where it starts to noticeably weaken. the 6cyl is very smooth, more than enough.

i *think* this 4cyl you can get away with 87oct...but not sure.

i know from info here that acura has no (current) plans to build any manual trannies...rumour is a 2dr coupe TLX will come out though.

but hey, see BMW...info i saw on them shows them cutting down their manual trannies A LOT for Canada....csi just started crying, lulz. all paddle soon, i assume it's all series 3,4,5,6,7...hopefully the 3 series gets a manual.

50k, i'd rather buy an s3, or a5 if you can swing 2 doors... or golf r...or mustang gt, or IS350, or, focus st/rs, or a bazillion other things. I didn't realize the ILX can get to 50k.

I would put bimmers in my list too--except I drove the new ones, and they suck XD

- not apologist, just speaking the truth doe. it has it's ups, but it's downs too. plus you guys got all your facts incorrect above lol...get that right first!

the software updates thing i just know is becoming more common, not just in honda but all makes/models across the board brah....but you wouldnt know that \:\)

it's $43k tax in, no? that's NOT 50k lol...who the fuck would even pay that, i agree.

like zc said above, with acura (honda?) they're always a bit down on power vs. competitor but you get a ton of options INCLUDED unlike other brands. (kinda like the koreans do it )

Ups and downs? Wtf lol

Honda has been on a study decline both quality and reliability wise. There is NO disputing this. Thanks to customers like titty they are keeping Honda afloat with garbage after garbage. I understand you work for them and as a loyal employee you feel the need to defend the inferior product that they produce, however it's time to take the blindfolds off...

Nothing was mentioned about power, or value adds.
There is no value add or power in my eyes, for that car--especially at 50k @____@
Would rather buy an IS.

V6 vs I4
300hp vs 200hp
rwd vs fwd

same price doe! SUCH VALUE! WOW ACURA!!!!!!

I feel bad for screamin', he is trying to stand up for the brand and they keep shoving sh!t down his throat that's hard to justify. At least he is still trying, he deserves employee of the month just for dealing with this forum alone (hatorade in particular) XD

for real

it's more supplier parts WITHIN the car that are the real pains (i see it daily) so if anything i know all the downfalls, vas would know i'm sure. it sucks when accountants/sales take over vs. true design/engineering side...ugh.

overall quality still good but definite aspects need to be looked at (like any other make). i speak more for acura side on this than honda to be honest...i dunno how they make money re. acura, lol. no blindfolds here man, if i 'had the money' it prob wouldn't be my first choice either. but again OP is adding stuff on to jack the price.

just remember, they (like any company) want to make money...and we've had this discussion before, MOST customers don't care for OMG 300hp or OMG RWD (v6 sure maybe)...we all look at things from our "car guy" biased in that sense. i wish the car company would too again sometimes...

lol, yes i know of that article already, and it's true which is good...push push push sales/timelines and quality will suffer. get too big for your own good (Toyota!) and shit goes south fast.

it's easy to just say 'oh all shit quality now' but the bread and butter cars still doing fine. i know all the issues of every single model in the line up but can't speak to them...(too many haha) \:\( - if anyone SHOULD be saying how "shit they are" it's me, lol!

And shit they are. Supplier parts or not. At the of the day it's Hondas job to make sure these parts are up to par. Quite obvious they don't care ala tlx lol

don't ask me, i never said it wasn't a rip...i was just speaking to the fact that the ACTUAL price of the car is not near 48K. he's adding access's which are pricey. ask the OP - even im surprised how pricey it became.

That wasn't directed to you......
