Not 100% sure what it is, but if I had to eyeball it, Id say rear glass and doors is 25 and the front 35.
I know my Genny is 35 and the TLX looks the same.

Cracked the windshield in mine today. No chips, scratches, nothing around it. Parked it and it was fine, came back a few hours later and it was cracked. Starts under the plastic cowl and goes up from there.

lol yes it's called stress crack, it happens, relax get over it.
wat?
Relax and get over it? How is that even remotely acceptable, to pay 50k for a brand new car and have a broken windshield within 2 weeks? I really hope you are trolling with "relax get over it". Pretty sure you would be very disappointed if that happened to you regardless of what brand the car was.

here comes the butthurt. The "relax get over it" comment is meant for iamfob, not tlx owner.
sorry i guess i was more in a 'first world probs' frame of thinking. of course i'd be annoyed as shit, but again, it happens which does sucks. i'm just jaded and used to seeing it given the side of work im in remember? (and that goes for any brand which it happens too, not just honda/acura). it's covered and they'll prob put new glass in it, that's what warranty is for. just a super pain it happend in the first place and he has to do it.

For reference.
Starts from the bottom edge where the heating element is. Im wondering if thats possibly the cause, heating the cold glass up too fast. It comes one automatically below 5c or so.
Taking it in on Monday for them to inspect.

Easy for you to say that's what warranty is for. Brand new car and the windshield cracks on it's own for no reason, that's shoddy as fuck IMO. Sure the glass can be replaced and if it's not done properly and the installer chips the paint it's going to rust. But that's what warranty is for right?
So glad that I will NEVER own a new honda product again.

LMAO at thinking its honda's fault that one of the glass manufacturers had a minor QC issue.
Really? Did OP not buy a Honda product?

It's not so much the glass that's the concern, but like Hatorade mentioned, what kind of halfassed install they might do. My wife's old Mini Cooper went through 3 successive windshields within 2 years. They all leaked and didn't fit right. I don't wanna go through that with this one. I've never dealt with Acura service so I'm hoping for the best. If they try to tell me that was caused by a chip or something I'm going to go ballistic though.

Honda (as with any mfr) decides which supplier to use and gives them a price point to produce to.
The glass mark will have the glass mfr as well as the factory in which the glass was produced.

Honda didn't make the glass LOL That said these cars look boring as fuck
Wrong. To the average joe they will think that honda made the glass since the glass actually has honda on it LOL
