Here's another from the girls shoot
This portrait workshop I'm involved in, you study a photographers work then make an image inspired by them This is my Karsh inspired image. light on the paper, a light camera right behind him on the hair and shoulder, a light camera right with a 15 degree grid on his face, a light with a bare strip box camera left behind him.  and this is a Skrebneski inspired image. a beauty dish over her, butterfly lighting style. I think there was also a strip light just to her right, at a really low power. I think I left it on though not really aimed or intentionally used. Skrebneski would say that nobody ever told him to hold still, so he made a lot of images with motion blur. I liked that, and the primary image I made was about migraines and pain and my wife, but this and the one I'll post tomorrow were just variations and playing around.

I quoted the last post on the last page when i posted a new pic today because i'm pretty psyched on those pics and wanted to show! The Sarah Moon stuff, I'm really not excited by her work, but just trying different stuff is what this workshop is all about. Buuuuut like I said, shooting that on Wednesday.

so these have some work to do on them, especially with the corsets. They have a tendency to create skin rolls at the top, haha. the light background is just straight out of camera, the dark background had some vsco cam bullshit applied last night. haven't gotten to ingest the raw files yet and fuck around with them. put some tulle over the lens, once it's doubled up and kind of loose, it reacts swell with the stray light from the umbrella. 84" with a low power alien bee to camera left, big white v flat to the right.
These are inspired by studying Sarah Moon's work. Really not into it, but I like the results a lot.

ah haha no worries, it was just very quiet all of a sudden. This stuff doesn't particularly fascinate me either, but that's why I took the class. I'm exploring more and learning certain techniques along the way.
