man you guys and your running... no idea how you do it...

i did a practice run of my 1.5 mile run i'll be required to do and made it through in 14:30, and felt fine like i could have gone another mile...

just did an easy jog at 6mph, bumped it to 6.2 after awhile, and finished up at 6.5... i was going to jack it up to 9-10 the last 1/4 mile but figured why bother...

my requirement is 1.5 miles in less than 15min 55 seconds...

the first time i tried it a few weeks ago, i quit after a half mile...

it's pretty crazy what just a few weeks of training will do for you, but then again, i've never done cardio... just use to play alot of ball, but that's all short sprints and shit, never any sustained distances...

you're an athlete, it wont take you long to find a groove. its just getting past those first miserable days back pounding pavement. 6.5's not bad at all either. stick to it. i go out on 10 mile runs smiling the whole time watching every fat motherfucker driving by drinking a starbucks. i get some sort of sick satisfaction out of that. lol.

Ok boys, (and girl) Im back to running. I was using the cold, snow, rain, etc. as an excuse when I had no reason to. I got lazy, but fuck it, Im back. 2.4 miles today in 22:54. Not bad for only running 1.8 miles in the past MONTH. Yea, Dwalk, I know... It's embarrassing, but Im doing stuff about it. It's March 17th today, so I have 14 days left in this month. Im wanting to knock out 15 miles by April 1st.

Too many runners here, not enough cyclists.

saturday - 2.5hours
sunday - 2 hours
today - 2.5hours

Can't wait for the weather to warm up even more, not riding indoors is a blessing.

i did one hour of cardio class at my gym yesterday, i couldn't keep up with all the jumping and leg exercises. I have to do the simple moves in the 2nd half of class because the shin splints was acting up so bad...ouch! I iced it last night and this morning when I was kneeing down to change my license plate, I felt my shins were burning internally.

i was wearing my Nike shox traning shoes, i make sure i tighted the laces good and stretched before the class. I am still experience a lot of pain in my shins. I want to run after lifting or off day but the shin splints are stopping me from doing a lot of cardio on the treadmill/elliptical and the gym's cardio classes \:\(

Was doing some speedwork today, trying to log a sub 21 min 5k. Went 7:19 first mile, 7:01 second mile, then cramped up in the ribs (not controlling my breathing enough) and had to walk the rest out. That's my cardio update. \:D

Did my 1.5 mile test run again and knocked it out in 13:30. I feel I could probably knock it down to 12:00 if I had more time. My test is this weekend so I'm comfortable with where I'm at right now. I will keep running though as I'm starting to like it more. I think I would prefer to run outside as the weather gets warner.

I'll be joining you next week after I get my bike out of the shop. Been itching to go out for some rides and the weather is finally turning the corner. Signed up for a century in June so will be getting some mileage in between now and then.

last night was brutal

ran 3miles in 23mins that morning at 5am and then i tried to finish up the last threee last night....took me 26mins because i walked the last 1/2mile.

after that, i downed my protein shake and fell into a low blood sugar attack. left calf is tight as all hell today also

yeah he's diabetic... not sure which though...

decided to run this afternoon... knocked out the 1.5 in 13:00, then did a brisk walk, and then some HIIT for the last 10 minutes... i managed to get about 3.5 in 30 minutes total...

i think i'll skip my run tomorrow cause i'll be playing soccer tomorrow night...
