+1 have a couple of bars. I would need a full day to do mine from top to bottom. - wash - iron x - wash - clay - wash - remove swirls - wipe down w/eraser - stage 1 polish - stage 2 polish - repeat stage 2 x2 or 3 - finally LSP Anyone use a foam gun/cannon? There are two types, one for pressure washers and one for reg hoses.
Are these worth it? Do they help or is it just a novelty item? Got this one and it's worth it for those quick washes where you don't need to drag out buckets poor environment...so much water waste The first one is a thorough wash, the other two are more like rinses

Be careful with M105. Although it does make very quick work of removing scratches, on most paints it is removing way more clear coat than you need to be. Its basically liquid sandpaper and I see it being used way too much.
You're right, I've used it once and it dusted and was a super pain in the ass to take off. If I actually used it, it would have to be on a car that was really screwed, otherwise the 205 pretty much gets out everything.

No idea how the hell you did a detail in 6 hours.
I spent 6 hours today just removing swirl marks...had to go through two orange pads, basically two phases of the same shit 3-4 minutes for every 2'x2'. Fuck i hate detailing cars, I might be over doing it compared to most but I don't want to do it for a few years.
Some pics from today,
one pass on the rear 1/4 with pc7424, door wasn't done yet.

Also a pc takes a bit more time compared to an orbital. Just the nature of the tool being used. So it's understandable.
Nothing shines like black tho
Protip, claybar your windows after your done doing your paint & then do your rims.

Some pics from today, one pass on the rear 1/4 with pc7424, door wasn't done yet. nice results but how did you burn through 2 pads? I burned through a pad the first time using my PC. I emailed them and they said the main reason is too much pressure applied. The pads should last a long time.
It has to be the pressure and in the pad's defense they are still usable, but i just found them to be way too soft and it was taking longer and longer to remove swirls. Once I switched to a new pad and went over the same spot it was basically half the effort.
I personally wouldn't use an old/used pad on a new detail, but that's just me.

you just have to take care of them, I've never replaced pads. just have to wash them out with a bit of dish soap and let them air dry. instead of putting more pressure I would turn up speed and use 1/2 of the pressure, or a more aggressive pad. what color pad were you using risky? even still new pads are always nice. or actually, are you using the little ones? anyways, part two today. de-badged, polished the muffler tips, high heat painted the muffler cans as they were flaking and looked ugly, and just re-dressed the interior. oh and tossed in those baller bright white plate bulbs. before: after: and I was going to put on the DC5R wheels but decided against it, I don't have the TPMS sensors so i'll have to dismount, install and re-mount the tires with them in it. do they make cheaper aftermarket sensors?
They do and also you can find sensors cheaper on eBay

dude tip was bad enough to need SOS pad. i had it super soaked though so was ok, and no scratches (the small mark at top was already there long ago). plus i dont care as it looks decent enough given how old/mashup it is already lol.
225/40/18's on the civic, i was surprised how big. (that's what she said). weird getting used to the new DA audio system, no knobs at all...just like using your phone......
still trying to get used to that front F360 style bumper too lol.
yeah not a fan of these double styled rims all companies are doing, meh. and where did the vtec go barely any changeover noise.
6spd shifter is mint though. as are all the little features like full keyless entry (leave fob in pocket), rear view cam, passenger side signal cam, heated seats, revised tuning, etc.
