2 weeks prior to my competition I come home from work (i work 2pm-10pm), and half my house is empty, with a note on the counter from my fiance of 3 years that she has moved out, and cited that the reason for doing so was she "hates my kids"...
Found it somewhat odd as I only get my boys like 6 days a month due to my work schedule, so I was pretty much heart broken for a period of time... I tried talking to her, but she didn't want to really hear it...
I was still on track for the 2 days proceeding this event, simply cause I think I was kind of in shock and on autopilot, plus in the back of my head I figured she'd be coming back, and this was just some ploy...
Well after a few days it sunk in that my house was basically fucking empty, and the bitch was not coming back, so I had to go out and refurnish the house so when they boys came over that weekend, they wouldn't be like "wtf dad, where is all the stuff"...
I decided at that point that I needed to take care of my home first before worrying about the competition... I easily gained about 10 pounds those first couple of days after that cause I was just doing my thang, and not giving a fuck, plus I was working 14-16 hour days just to get some extra bank to cover what expenses that i could...
Competition day came, and of course I was at work, but I had this really sick feeling in my gut that I let someone else control my direction after busting my ass for the previous 6 months to get ready for this shit... So I'm over it now, but do plan to compete again in 2015...
I guess I'll look back on this and laugh at some point, but i'm still kinda bitter about the whole thing, but in the end it's good that she is gone, because my boys (who are really good kids, very polite and respectful, they make messes but what fucking 7 & 9 year old kids don't make a mess now and then) deserve someone in their life that is going to at least respect them and interact with them... they don't need a "mom", they have one of those, but if you're going to be in my life then you have to accept my sons as well... Funny, cause I treated her son as if he was my own, actually a little better cause it's hard to discipline someone else's child, and this bitch couldn't even acknowledge them most times...
So yeah call me a pussy and I quit or whatever... the people that I consider friends respect my decision and were fully supportive...
And the best part, is I'm talking this girl now who rocks, but she may be too good to be true... She loves football (actually has a clue about it too), is into LOTR (fuck yeah), is hawt as fuck, likes to train and works out like a damn beast... only problem is she's 26... lol... oh well fuck it... i'm diving in head first... If i get hurt, it can't be any worse than the last one...

FUCK. I never saw that one coming.
I have to say--as awful as it is, I applaud her honesty. This is exactly why you tread lightly when introducing your s/o to your kids (granted, you were way in at that point).
Good that it ended before she was able to clean you out worse in a divorce.
The rest is all BS. Your kids matter more than bodybuilding. Best of luck in rebuilding. Had to be a rough situation.

oh i'm back on my feet... there's more to the story though, as when i got divorced I took all the debt with me so my ex wouldn't have to worry about any of it... i ended up filing for a bankruptcy shortly after cause looking at it from a distance I just wasn't going to be able to keep up with it, with the amount of money i had to pay my ex in support...
so the G8 was in the bankruptcy, and I needed a new car so my girl signed for the GTI... well after she bailed she said i could keep it if i paid it off and she'd sign it over to me... so i paid that bitch off mailed the check to VW, and let her know that everything was taken care of...
4 days later I'm at work and i get a text message that she retrieved her car under the supervision of the State Police... lol, yeah she came to my work and took my fucking car... so i said fuck it, and went and bought a new GTI the next day... well this dummy obviously wasn't thinking clearly cause the money i used to pay it was an auto loan i took out from my bank... lol, so my bank had a lien on the car, and she had to sign it over to me anyhow... so now i have 2 GTI's...
Ugh, well at least i have the choice of manual or DSG... lol... fuck, i want to keep both but it's fucking stupid to, so i guess i'll end up selling the 2010 at some point...
seriously who the fuck does that...? and i had no other options for a car for getting to work so that's why i just went out and bought the new one, and was legit cause they had 0% interst on the 2013's... ended up getting the Driver's Edition with leather and Nav, but been driving the 2010 for the last week due to the shit weather here... lol...
you'd think at this point in my life i'd be living on easy street just going along but nah, it's always some bullshit drama...
maybe i should just be alone, but damn i like to have someone to come home to every night... i have love to give... lol...
