I can't believe this is the first year in well over a decade that I'm not seeing a game there. I even made a trip to Seattle for my only chance to see them live this year, haha.

I cant believe I live here and only make it to 2-3 games a year. I guess my couch is just that comfortable...
I used to average like 10, haha. Even though I live on the beach now, I still miss the shit out of Canton.

This is known as Five Mile Dam. I think named so because the dam is five miles up river from where it dumps into the San Marcos River. Eight years ago it was constantly flowing but with the drought, it only flows with heavy rains up river.
Check out the big dead tree laying over the dam. That now dead river has been twenty or more feet deep before.

I really like that salty, definitely captured the moment
I tried to do some astro photography last night, but after only 3 exposures, I started getting circled by a den of desert foxes. It seemed that way at least :P I've not come across foxii on any of my prior trips to the desert, so along with a healthy respect for wild life and not fucking around with it, I called it a night.
And here's my campsite
I'll share some photos from the landspeed races that brought me out there later this week.

Not to be a smartass, but what's this a picture OF? The only thing that's in focus us a little bit of the top of that bush, and it's not very interesting. What were you going for?
Maybe I should start looking at devignette controls..that's all natural from the 70-200

It does look like fun. When I was starting to think about selling my rock buggy, I had talked myself into buying a speedway bike. I kinda wish I had in some ways, but the Model T came into my life right then and that was that. The weldor I posted a picture of last week, he's been doing some work on a Triumph Bonneville that's going to be pretty bad ass. He's doing the work for another shop, so I've got to see if I can't get the guy to let me shoot it when he's done, or even mid project, but John narrowed the stock tank and put a peak down the center, it's juuuust wide enough for the FI pump inside, and he was making a seat pan this past week that'll be full on 70's flat track. The owner has some money and wants a badass Deus style bike. It's gonna be sick. Already has the new black aluminum rims, polished spoked wheels with Maxxis dirt trackers. They're such a sick looking tire... can't believe how soft they are though. Good thing this guy won't really ride the bike much :P
