eddie trying to get you to troll , eh...

and speaking of which are you still under the elementary school assumption that size = strength/power and/or endurance?
Generally when people get a clue about the human body and muscle physiology they drop that kindergarten bs.

wut those chicken legs do

asian fat and stubby watermelon calves need not apply to athletic performance.

Seriously though, what's with calling Wayne out? At least he's ridden with us. I'd have more respect for you if you actually rode with us, open invitation.

Just went by urbane cycle at queen/john (used to buy my single speed stuff from them) and bought the joe blow pump for $52 and an iphone5 mount.

I had less than a 100 psi in both tires. I put them up to 130, we will see if it makes a difference.

w00t, broke into the 28km/h avg on same route. Makes me feel good on regular roads I trend at above 30km/h, it's that hill at the 8km mark that fucks me up and takes the wind out of me...rest of the ride I am wasted as you can see I just keep going slower and slower lol

I think where you'd benefit is doing a real warm up. Ride relaxed at a sub 30kmh pace for the first 5 or so km...you'll find you can better maintain a heightened pace throughout the ride afterwards. But good ride man!

EDIT: Please take me to this hill on Sunday \:D

Thanks y0.

It's funny, I am all excited to go riding after work until I reach that hill and EVERY SINGLE time i think about turning around and going back like "ain't nobody got time for hills"

WHatever, anyway it's not a crazy hill, it's nothing like the one at the Glendon (end of Lawrence in the Bridle path), but for a noob like me it's enough to kick my ass and suck the wind out of me. I tried standing on it for like 10 feet and quickly sat down like a bitch. Legs couldn't do it.

If you guys ride that path tomorrow on the group ride please run strava for me and post the results.

As much as you hate that hill it will make you a much stronger rider. Just dump all your gears and spin up it rather than trying to power up it. How are you feeling at the end of your rides? You should try adding a little more time or distance. Find any shorts yet?

I hate that I'm working Sunday. fml. I wanted to come out for the ride.

I've done the Glendon climb, it's steep.
Pottery Rd is plenty entertaining as well.

Where's your hill Vas?
Brimley at the bluffs is good too. Morning Glory does that routinely.

You are right 110% i feel less and less winded after it. Mind you it's no big hill, it's just a long straight of uphill climbing. Not steep, but i can't keep over 20kmh on that stretch even if my life depends on it.

In terms of distance, how much are you thinking? I like the 20km now because I am just getting into this and I want to get comfortable with my route, I want to own it, meaning 30kmh average and I don't want to break a sweat (yes I am dreaming) but you know what I mean. After only a week I want to stick to what's comfortable and I will venture off to longer distances after, at least that's my thought on it.

I didn't get shorts yet simply because of cost, not because I can't afford, we all know i am a cheap fuck and that will never change especially after the other lurker posted he got bibs for $40 at winners. I won't pay more than that, I have a deal lined up with kijiji tomorrow, we will see if seller comes through. \:\)

I've done both of those on a mountain bike which is much easier...not sure about on a road bike.

Hwy 7 eastbound 1-2 km before north road. It's nothing crazy again, keep in mind I am a noob so for me going over a speed bump is the equivalent of a hill.

Euphoric and Risky should get on a bike and ride together.
That is how the 30kmh speed barrier will be broken.
