Crossfit Gym, all weight is dump-able. I prefer to squat in a gym with bumper plates rather than metal plates. The sound is a lot worse when you ditch a bar onto railing.
They do teach you however how to ditch a weight properly before you get into big boy weights. Once it gets really heavy however you can't really ditch like that and require a spotter otherwise it puts a lot of stress on the spin bearings of the bars.

Wayne, can you, or someone else here, explain what your blog is all about? I just clicked on it and followed your food diary and...I'm confused. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/waynetedwards?date=2013-04-18Danish, brownie, cupcake, macchiato, etc: 1,900 calories of desserts! In one day! Are you getting into competitive eating? Or in some sort of bulk at all costs mode? I thought you were trying to slim down.
I believe on yesterdays post I mentioned an off week, while not a competitive eater. I'm like a kid in a toy store when it comes to food... oooh I haven't had this, oooh I haven't had that.
I can eat a lot, that's obviously been displayed easily. I wish I could do competitive eating, that would be fairly interesting lol.
I've been on this off week and decided to not train at all as well either due to a nagging sore throat, which went full retard after friday night at the movies. I tried training on friday, lifts were good but breathing wasn't so great.
anyway, our normally scheduled program will start again this week. I feel pretty gross actually so I'm good!

Your food addiction is why this protocol is not going to work for you... You took an off week (fine they are needed) and you gained what 12lbs...? Cause you've been bingeing on all the foods you've been depriving yourself of...
This happened before, and what happened the last time a 12lb gain happened. a 17lb loss the following week and a half. Again, lets not be women and focus on scale numbers.
And Chris, the training actually caught up with me. I'm not sure what it was but if it wasn't my upper body that felt like shit then it was my legs or spinal erectors. And being that this week would've been week 3 in my strength cycle, I imagine sans fridays deadlift session the other lifts would've been shit.
I'm starting to develop carpal tunnel again on my right wrist so I've avoided riding my airdyne, benching or pressing. I knew even doing curls with it friday was a bad idea.
Hopefully I can ease back into lifting this week...

why do you wear a belt? christmas treee... pffft
Go home camera, you're drunk.
I don't have a ridiculously strong core. I don't do ab exercises, just deadlift and squats, and cleans, etc.
barely started doing hanging leg raises, etc. Until my core is strong enough to support that kind of weight, the belt stays. No need to get a hernia trying to be a bad ass.
