I actually read it all... you had about 1,000 calories from girl scout cookies. Perhaps you only had 1.5 boxes instead of 2 (I'm unsure what the total number of cookies are in a box)... but the point is still valid.

Then you are aware that I do not eat like that on a daily basis, correct? Irregardless of whatever facepalming is to be done, I pretty much experiment with shitty stuff on every carb nite. So far the best carb to fat ratio came from a box of cereal, milk, and brown cinnamon sugar pop tarts.

Girl Scout cookies have way too much fat for me to try and use them again. Some people have databases of bad shit that are high carb and low fat as well as gluten free. A lot of those things Cory currently eats, for the remainder of the month instead of trying to carb load with processed foods I'm going to try natural foods such as sweet potatoes and regular potatoes, plantains, rice, sushi, etc.

I'm never concerned with my protein intake on carbnite, I usually am not doing any muscle building exercises that day and one day under 140g isn't going to cause me any losses in lean tissue.

It's still shit even if you do once a week. You won't convince anyone that eating like that is beneficial to your "diet."

I am "aware" of the #carbnight.

I do not "understand" the #carbnight.

I fully admit to not following your blog closely. You mentioned that you have tried to get to 175 lbs multiple times and "mean it this time". Do you think the #carbnight is not seriously affecting your ability to get to your 175 goal? If all the other days you are not eating like this(and by that I assume you are eating a lot less calories) and are not achieving your goal, do you not believe the blow out day is what is holding you back... at the very least significantly contributing to it?

Most of those days were used pretty much to eat whatever I wanted in an 8 hour window with zero concern to macros. While I have leaned out a decent amount I still have fat mass that I am working on getting rid of.

I am not concerned with hitting a specific weight if it's not maintainable. There is no point for me to drop to the 175lb range at the cost of strength and size just to say there I did it and look like shit at 175. Where does it stop, do I have to drop to 125lbs so I have the internet's approval.

Cory is skeptical of the diet because he believes with all of his heart it is impossible to build any kind of muscle while on a caloric defecit, while blowing out a single macro, and lose fat.

And when I get a body scan at the end the month, the number on the scale will only be relevant as to how many pounds of difference I was when the reveal of what my actual skeletal muscle mass is, and fat mass.

this is what matters

Dude, you were the one that said 175, I thought that was YOUR goal. I don't care what you weigh, I don't even care what I weigh... I don't weigh myself. If the "internet approval" is me... you're incorrect.

No, not your approval Lew-boo. I think 175 would be a reasonable size. It's no life long goal

Correct me if i am wrong, but carbnite would tend to lead one to beleive that you are carbing up, not fatting up as it looks like you have a tendancy to do on such carbnites...

how has your strength improved over the last 3 months...?

and for the record, my stance on building muscle while on a deficit, which you apparently (are barely on), is that, if you are an experienced trainer it's likely NOT going to happen...

i mean you obviously have shitty workout habits, kinda ho hum, with little to no progression scheme, so i don't even know that you would qualify as an intermediate trainer...

so i guess it's possible that you could be putting on lean mass, while losing fat, but your pics and strength progressions say otherwise...

but you will have the last laugh if your lean mass comes back considerably higher than the previous test... of course if you honestly think you're going to get to 175 before the 29th, you're fucking delusional man... i actually kinda hope you do, cause if you do, it means you had to dehydrate your ass again, and buh-bye to those lean gains you thought you were making...

175 is more than a reasonable weight for you... but i bet at 175 you look similiar to what you do now, only a smaller version... at least if you hit it in the next 13 days...

you think a little vascularity means anything...? i mean you keep talking about it, yet it's not coming through in the pics... thing with that is that's a somewhat genetic trait though... i'm way leaner than you, and not vascular at all yet... i mean they are there, i can see them, but there's no relief to them, like i can't feel them if i run my hands over them...

this honestly looks like Paleo part DUH...

I was not on 5/3/1 previously, because I could care less about benching. I would love a nice big chest, broad shoulders, and have come to realize that although most of the movements I am doing are not heavily chest or shoulder influenced. It wouldn't hurt to be naturally stronger in the upper region of my body to help stabilize my core on certain lifts.

......

 Quote:

Squat only went down because I spent 2 months not squatting and doing more cardio ish shit due to one of our training partners having a bum knee, but my deadlift went up 10lbs which is pretty damn good if I say so myself. Bench was surprisingly better but nothing significant, again nothing I train regularly.

Haha, nah dude, no more wearing the cutting suit, I like to set goals and see what the body is capable of, if I make it I make it, if I don't I don't... I'll try to get a dslr picture of my vascularity and cuts(of meat) in different lighting if you need HD shirtless pictures of me. I normally just take shitty cell phone pics or bathroom pics with my p.a.s. canon camera my little brother found in the mountains lol.

when your weight goes up you start to lean forward and lose your hip drive...and even round your back(when it got real heavy).

constructive criticism here. I suck at squats myself(poundage wise) lol
but I make up for it with speed over short distances ;\)

The weight pushes me a bit forward, but you don't see my spine poke through the shirt either. I have my arms close together like that to force my chest to always be up and proud, it's almost impossible unless I let go of the bar for me to fold over forward. I found this made an extremely more stable platform which allowed for more reps when lifting heavy.

If I can focus on keeping my knee's out throughout the entire squat and squat through my legs, I wont lean forward as much, that drop at the bottom sometimes drives you a little forward, and the knee's come in to push myself back on my heels.

Damn complicated exercise once weight gets heavy man.

That's why I'm almost thankful that I can only do Bulgarian Split Squats. So much less weight and no rounding of the spine at all.

you may not see your spine(too much fat...hi oh :D) but thats some serious rounding. if it were me Id dial back the weight and increase it slowly while keeping that shit in check. Ya it may hurt your pride a little but so what. Better to have proper technique than risk hurting yourself.

I have hip flexor problems (in that they have always been wayyyy to tight. Like I can lay on a doctors table with legs hanging off edge and if I do a stretch for hip flexors...it will pull up the other side a huge amt which is not good lol)

so naturally my upper body wants to pull forward..even with a decent core/back and a proper squat stance and not a boatload of weight. Ive been working hard at stretching and trying to get my technique perfect. Id rather do that then load up the bar with heavy shit and do it with technique issues

Its like lifting heavy for deads...you may be physically able to lift a lot of weight but if its at the expense of your technique falling apart then who cares. thats more dangerous than helpful.

Thats my take on lifting in general. That doesnt mean you shouldnt push the envelope but within reason and trying to keep that technique proper.

You want to know the MAJOR problem with this line of thinking...? At 9kcal per gram of fat, when wanting to lose weight AND maintain muscle you're food intake is going to be next to nil... Carbs are also muscle sparing and you can eat 2x as many vs fats...

Gotta maintain fat intake even during a cut for hormone production etc... This eat only fat is just retarded...

Chris,

This diet is not about counting calories. The article I posted on the previous page explains why I eat a diet high in fat and protein and low in carbs. Cory will never agree the shit makes sense because he doesn't know anything from a personal experience level with it. He will never try it, that's like a gay dude saying vagina is bad for you, stick to buttholes. That's what my bro's say.

There is also the a calorie is not a calorie article I posted quite a few pages back depending on your view settings showing the variances of calories between fat, carbs, and protein... So depending on whatever your macros are for the day

1500 calories could be split into 3 different deficits depending on which macro you focus on. Which also is explained in the calorie is not a calorie thing, and Diezel can also say that's the dumbest fucking thing in the world. But Diezel is also not a rocket scientist or whatever the fuck...

 Quote:

He’s been researching, testing and verifying what hard science proves as fact for over two decades. The results he’s achieved for himself and others led him to start calling his clients S.H.I.T.™s—Super Heroes In Training.

My goal was to hit 800g of carbs while staying relatively close to 100g of fat.

My previous carbnites I've only gotten in the realm of 4-6-700g of carbs but almost 3-400g of fat, so I spent a week losing 5-9lbs that I gained from a single refeed that's supposed to boost my metabolism, to continue the fat burning process. But I've been stumping myself with some of the food since it's not pre-planned or had irresponsibly in excess.

I actually looked at Cory's food diary to see what high carb things he has been eating that have ridiculously low levels of fat. He consumes close to 600-650 carbs a day while staying around 80g of fat. So I plucked cereal and pop tarts from that as a go to...

My goal for the month is to find natural paleo ish items that can get me to that carbohydrate level with minimal fat involved.

The carbnite is not about hitting a roof of cals, or hitting my protein and fat macro's it's about getting up to the roof of 800g of carbs or less and minimal fat.

Just how the article explains when you eat high amounts of fat, your body will not store it. If that were the case I'd be fatter than I was in december and my waist wouldn't be 33in today aside from the 37 inches it was in december.

I'm not shredded, but I'm losing body fat, while maintaining my lean mass and hopefully building some in the process. And I'm okay with a steady and slow process over a long duration of time rather than some quick fix cut, then complaining I got jiggly because I didn't feel strong and had to eat some muscles onto me.

If that was an information overload, in short. I don't count cals, I never did, and if it were up to me I'd turn them off on myfitnesspal. It's completely irrelevant to ME!
