I finally broke down and bought a decent flash unit for the A65. I got a Metz 52AF-1. It is my first automatic flash. The touchscreen is very nice and I really like the fast re-charging. With fresh Energizer Alkaline batteries, I was able to get ~3 frames a second out of it at F3.5.

I was using it while throwing the ball for my Mom's dogs. Here is a crop of one of the pictures...lol

lol That dog is absolutely obsessed about playing ball. He'll do it for hours uninterrupted. Once when I was sitting on the couch there, he brought a ball to me. I stashed it behind a cushion when he wasn't looking. Ten minutes later, he was through looking for it and just brought a different ball to me. I stashed that one behind the cushion as well. This went on for forty minutes, he'd brought every ball in the house to me and I had five balls behind the cushion. lol

Yeah, the ridge across the road from my hotel room in Snowmass Village was still brown. It snowed like one inch the two days I was out there.

She is a pretty happy girl, that's for sure. But man can she be naughty! She was given the nickname Monster Meg as a puppy.
It started snowing today so I figured I'd make my rental lenses useful before my newborn session tomorrow.
And that dog looks downright VICIOUS!

My mom made some mini cupcakes for a baby shower she was hosting at her house yesterday. They were delicious!! Clockwise: peanut butter, raspberry filled chocolate, banana walnut.

My first instinct reactions when I read that was "juvenile" and "unprofessional," which I don't think is what you're going for when achieving first impressions with potential clients. But again, to each their own.

Nice shot! Food shots have scared me away for now, too much fussing with staging not to mention all the cool shots I've seen locally from guys like Lafora.

I personally wouldn't change a thing.

If anything, I feel the background mountains tilt to the right and tilting it more right would, for me, make it worse.

And as others have said, that is a great shot!
