lol I think I popped my cherry on this picture.

It is my first image that involves post processing. Well, post processing other than resizing or cropping. I used the "Picnik" online editing via Flickr. I was really shocked when I adjusted the contrast, all the sudden I could see the pellet gun grips in a alot more detail. They were a blur before and here they are in much improved detail...

we had a workshop this weekend, and we were challenged to fire off one, and only one, frame in the next 24-hours. it was inspired by Jim Brandenburg's 90 images (1 exposure/day) that ended up being published in National Geographic.

for my shot, i went out to the local beach. i originally borrowed a Nikon 600/4 lens sure got me a lot of attention haha


anyway, i wasn't like the zoom lens for this particular shot, so i went back out the next morning w/ a 14/2.8L. here's my final shot

Eh... I mean, it's definitely grainy, but I'm not sure that it takes away from the photo as much as you're thinking. Sunset photos are just one of those things that don't need to be RAZOR SHARP imo.

It's not the size of the lens... It's where you point it. ;\) I like the final shot, looks nice!
