My second 5k is tomorrow with a high of 40* and rain. This could suck, bad.

Just got done with my Buddy's Race Against Cancer. The route was the same one as my first 5k which I really liked so I could get a perfect measure of how my times stacked up. The rain held off but the cold didn't, however that didn't stop me! I clocked in my PR with a 27:34 and only walked for 2:12 of the entire race. I dont know what my deal was, but I was tearing it up (for me). It was 39* for the race too, so Dante and Dwalk, and you too Flaco, enjoy your warm states. \:\( Im psyched though! Woot! (a pic of me bundled up to come later)

Oh, since I know y'all likely dont remember, my time for the Race for the Cure was 32:06. Nearly 5 minute difference!

I'm telling Matt you have it in you. 27:34 is very good. Seriously...that is little less that 9 minutes per mile, probably around 8:55 or something. Anyway, you can your work has paid off. Hopefully, in two weeks on Sunday I can run a 24 minute 5k.

I see a 10k in your future, loL!

Im still debating that Thanksgiving Day 10k. I want to, but I just dont want to hurt myself, ya know? My total 5k goal is sub-24 minute. Thanks for the kind words man!

do you do any ab workouts? i find if i do abs before i run i somehow have way better runs. i would think it would be the opposite...

I am all about the core man. I actually enjoy doing core and ab workouts; I love the drained feeling I get.

its been snowy/rainy all the week here. bitch to ride my bike to class lol road bike lol fail.

ill actually share some workout stuff ...got my ass handed to me today. lactate heaven. failllllllure.
im so beat right now.

main set was(in meters)
5x100 kick on 2 min
4x25 kick on 45 sec all out
3x150 pull(swim with a pull buoy between legs) on 2:30
4x50 pull all out on 1 min
2x300 swim with fins on something
2x75 all out on 1:30 with fins or without.

2 times through that.

it sucked
