Much appreciated. I had a zoom attached when I saw it, and was barely at the minimum focusing distance.

What am I doing wrong? All of my shots seem to be soft. Maybe it's my lens, or the old camera. Or is it me?
Shot was taken at 11pm and it was 92*. I can see the heatwaves

I could see the heatwaves across the moon clearly on my LCD screen the other night. Especially at 10X zoom to check focus. I used the fastest shutter speed I could (1/4000).
Bob - The pic gets noisier at 5,184 X 3,456.
