The monkees are awesome. The deer is so much softer and easier on the eye then earlier images.
The watch is ok but I know a updated shot would be better.
The bike part would be so much better with out the tree.
The camera is nice but what is up with the glass shelf.

I like the use of the tree to frame the rider. Ideally, it's better to see the rider heading towards the viewer rather than away (I took a lot of butt shots of skateboarders before I figured that one out), but I also understand that sometimes the logistics of the place demand otherwise.

 The monkeys are awesome.

 cheers,
 scott

from last week with my new (old) camera: I dig this. Is it weird that I love the reflection of the lens in the shelf but think the hand reflection should be mostly cropped out (which would then require burning in that bright spot towards the right on the new bottom edge)? And what the hell, did you use a timer for this? You're finger isn't on the shutter release. cheers, scott

thanks - it was a snapshot, so the flaws are due to haste.

I think my thumb is triggering the shutter, but it's obscured by my hand. It actually feels more natural to hit the shutter with your thumb when you're using this camera - hitting with the index finger is awkward.

and I did not even notice the other lens reflection in that seam before you mentioned it!

That was actually a complete coincidence that the tree framed him in. I was shooting all the guys coming towards me and figured I'd snap one off of my buddy hitting the last jump, I was set up in the middle of the run.

Here's 2 more from that day...

I like this one because I was able to not only get my buddy Brady pulling a big transfer, but also got my friend Hugh in the background pulling a sweet seat grab.

  Kyah watching over everyone...

Testing out 82mm CPL handheld. The sun was almost overhead, but I'm not unhappy with the results.

It is funny how much stuff I put up on Flickr that I really don't remember. I don't edit a lot of the stuff I just look for sharpness and basic subject location within the frame and then bam I upload.
Here is an example. Someone suggested I add it to a group. The more I look at the picture the more that I think to myself, "I took that?"

Scott,
I like the tone of your playground picture. The light is very warm and the timing is perfect. It tells a nice story.

How the hell did you manage to capture that much detail without star trails? , scott
 14mm - f/2.8 - 30" - ISO2000

I've seen some downright awesome photos of the Milky Way using special tracking systems. You can get 15 minutes of exposure (split up over multiple 30" shots) without any star trails.
