DO you have ANY idea how hard it is to fit in the back of an FD3S RX7 when you're 6'6''!?

This pic, with a different exterior location, I think would work better. There should be road/track out in front of the car. I love the series over all, but that one little thing bugs me.

beat me to it.

And to add to what Scott said I wonder what'd happen if the car was under an overpass and all the outside scene was white out. I know you'd probably need to mount the camera in the car and then do 2-3 exposure overlay just to get the side mirrors in shot. Maybe because I feel that the shot would be stronger if it was isolated and it was nothing BUT the interior.

basically if you want to see the reference shot, it'd be this:

Work trip to Durango (and back!) yesterday...snapped some pics through the windshield during those 15 hours in the car. Liked this one.

did a series of headshots for a salon last week. the pics are going on the bio page of the website we are redoing. Just getting around to editing them. I was lucky enough to get my lighting perfect and really had little do to post except for some cleanup. Single beauty dish to the right of the model and up high, 42" reflector immediately to the left at head level. This was the first time i've ever done something like this (other than messing around at home). Turned out really good.

A graduated ND filter should bring the top more in line with the bottom. I'm getting one soon.

Here's one of my shots hosted on the project leader's Flickr.

I would have cropped out a bit on the left side but they needed room for type. I'm interested to see how this gets used haha.

hmm, guess it's time to look into one.

here's one that didn't quite get the effect i was going for. not sure if it's the angle or what, but that's at least a 1500ft drop below me, but for some reason it only looks a few feet down. had to climb out to the edge

You need something down there that doesn't blend in to show how high you are off the ground. River, trees, etc.

yeah, it just gives you so much more dynamic range when it does come time to edit. BTW, I do believe I also stacked a polarizer on for this shot, too, which probably didn't hurt.

I like B+W.

I have a Singh Ray vari-ND that i've recently noticed does weird things with color temp...so it's not truly neutral. (not that it cant be fixed, but it ruined the consistency of a series of shots I took after adding it)

Be sure we're not confusing variable ND with graduated ND.

Variable ND - whole filter is dark, rotate to change the level of darkness

Graduated ND - darker on one side, falls off towards the other side. So you rotate it to where the dark side is covering the sky.

No, I know...it was more a commentary on the singh ray product. Their Variable ND that I have changes the color temp a bit, even though it's not supposed to. My graduated ND is a B+W. So is my polarizer. Those are quality pieces.

I didn't get clammy sweaty hands till I read the part about being 1500 feet up. The picture was fine till then. lol/ I no like heights

Here is my crappy picture, the Moon was out at 5pm on Monday. I learned a good lesson that day. Make sure the lens is spotless before shooting at a blue sky. I've got LR3, this will just give me the reason to learn how to do spot removal with it.

Thanks dudes. \:\)

A little bird told me the car drives really well, feels like an S2000. The bird said it has good pick up, is a bit underpowered YES, but feels really fun anyhow. It's more of a momentum car, with nicely balanced handling to make up for a lack of outright power, according to the bird. The bird was able to get it sideways with no problem, and it snapped back pretty well once you lift off. The more the bird thought about it, the more he realized how similar it really is to the S2000, not quite as twitchy though. It's just too bad that I didn't get to drive it myself...
