How can I exercise that part of my leg?

I did just play Ultimate Frisbee on the turf varsity field wearing my cleats and everything feels really good now, but that might be similar to you being able to play soccer with no ill-effects. I don't know, Im still going to try and run and see if it hurts me in a few weeks. If so, I guess Im off to an Md, again.

Reverse toe-curls. You can do them while sitting in a chair and just raising your legs up on your toes, but it's much more effective if you can attach some kind of resistance band to a table leg or something, wrap it around your toe and then pull your toe back toward your body.

Meh, you might hold them back at the end, but you will work to stay with them to the best you can until you run out of gas. And you'll have more in the tank than you know.

Matt, don't over do it when you are slightly injured, not worth it. You will actually take longer to recover if you run on it. I did that and well, I had to stop running for almost two weeks. We all know that when we don't get our fix we go fucking NUTS! at least I do. Try cross training, get on the bike.

Speaking of a fix, today I did 30 mins HR Interval on the bike, a 10k and then another 30 min HR interval. It was my first time doing so, and I felt good, real good.

i did 2 days straight of 1 hour cardio class at my gym. I felt good to sweat so much in a 1 hour session, but my foots are taking a beating from the constant running, leg lifts, dancing, jumping from 2 days of high intensity cardio class.

Last Wednesday I played in the Intramural Ultimate Frisbee championship at school and we were playing on the Varsity football field in the stadium which is turf. Well, I slid on the same part of my leg two different times and proceeded to rip 2 layers of skin of my leg in an 8"x3" patch which still isn't scabbed over, still bleeds and oozes a bit too. Looks pretty righteous so running is on the back burner, again. I can't look at a sport without getting hurt.

The first time was HARD, the cold air burned my chest from the heavy breathing. now it;s not soo bad.
But i don;t think i can run in much colder weather.

hit the bike for 45 mins last night. cut it a little short so I could make it home to watch House.

Dressing to run in the cold is tough because after the first mile you're going to be a lot warmer. The worst for me though is the breathing... when I'm running hard in the cold, my mouth gets all coated with goo, and I'm not a very good spitter, and it builds up and I end up practically gagging

Back to running today. Not sure on the distance but I estimate it to be ~2.5 miles or or so. Ran it in 30:20 \:\) Felt good and my legs did not hurt although I did take 2 Aleve beforehand.

going from 175 to 168 has been hell! seemed harder than 220 down to 175.

time to keep running and leaning out. may try to get to 160 by xmas and then bulk back up.

Well after seeing your awesome results, I couldnt sit around and watch football any longer. I went out and ran on the track a 29:36 5k with the first mile going down in 7:48. Both times are PR's for me since I began. I know I could have shaved off a minute or so off the total time had I not busted it for the first mile. Also, I walked a bit more than I knew I should have but other than that, I feel real good about today's work. \:\) Come on Nov. 16th for my next 5k!!!!
