The sealant is the protective layer and the wax adds the "pop" to the paint.

I use JetSeal 109 by Chemical Guys, which I apply by hand and then finish with either Pete's '53 or P21s. (by hand as well)

It seems some people are using the Klasse sealant and paste wax in different order, for example, most detailing guides says Klasse goes last, but it looks like the detailers on here prefer a coating of P21S on top of the Klasses. I would like to know what is being achieved with both methods and how do you achieve it (like how you are using the products and what pads are you using). Thanks.

Klasse is a sealant, and it will help "protect" your paint. The P21s gives the paint depth.

I think so, because the clay removes pretty much everything, including previous waxes. Wash after you clay though, just to make sure it's spic and span for the wax/sealant.

as a help meet for the clay, when doing a full detail, I like to pre soak, and then spray the horizontal surfaces of the car with degreaser diluted 10:1. Then wash as normal. Very nice!

Thanks!

The autogeek kit I purchased came w/more pads/cleaner/conditioner and was 199.

Promos like these is very important for me. I really want to buy something for my father after teaching me everything about cars.

maybe i do haha.

my friend recently bought one so i got to see the results first hand and they were amazing. theres a big show coming up so id like to use his PC and bring the best shine possible. i will most likely buy my own pads and waxes etc and use his PC. so my question is: which pads and chemicals should i order? ive seen quite a few suggestions but noone has came to an agreement on which works "best".

would i start with a medium or heavy cut? my paint is showing swirls and light scratches. detailing guru's, what would you recommend for a black car?
thanks
-Steve

Lake county CCS Pads

washed the car with dish soap
applied the power gloss with a yellow pad
applied the SIP with an orange pad
applied the Nano with a gray pad
applied the collinite with a blue pad

let's talk clay bars, i've always been using either the mothers yellow claybar or the meguires white, are they any good or should i be looking into something else?

i'm just waiting on my shipment from eshine, i picked up a dewalt polisher, lake country orange for M105, LC white for M205 and the LC black finishing pad for the blackfire wet diamond.

i have two brand new claybars, (one yellow mothers, one white megs) is one better than the other?

and i'd love to grab a foam canon, but i just found out that my pressure washer took a shit. think that washing down the car with dawn will be ok?

thoughts? opinions?

All my products were left in the garage and I just noticed that my poorboy's EX-P sealant chunked up It looks like it separated. I tried to shake it up, but it just ended up looking like cottage cheese. Can I still use it? It happened to the poorboy's ssr 1 also, but not the ssr2.5. Also, my PC has a 4in backing plate, but the pads that I'm using are 5.5 inch. Will that be okay, or am I fucking something up? Thanks in advance for any help!

I started spraying my microfiber cloth I use to remove the excess wax/sealant from my truck with a quick detailer. Is this pointless? The reason I do that is to help cut down on the dust and it seems to make sure I get everything up with a lot less work. I also use it to moisten the applicator pad.
