love it. i saw the youtube presentation vid from the car show. odd thing is that the guy says there is a center clutch--which suggests it's a haldex system. that makes torque vectoring not as useful as it would be in a full time awd car. As for reliability, the motor is a mazda if that makes anyone feel better XD The 2.3L ecoboost = the mazdaspeed 6 engine. Ford had a deal with Mazda when Mazda developed it for the speed 6...and after the speed 6 run was over, Ford would take over that design. This is that motor (same motor as the one in the stang).
i think it's a wicked car. dat interior doe

Nice car on paper, won't go anywhere like the ST however. The price point of a hot hatch like that puts it over that demographic's budget defeating the whole point. The car is a step in the right direction doe.

I recall reading on some of the blogs, $35-37k USD. Thats puts it up in the low $40's here.
Risky nailed it. I barely see any ST's on the road and they are already over $30k. 300+hp and AWD aside, its still a Focus.
Im sure it does haul some ass though lol.

What everyone is saying can be said for the golf doe. The golf base is what, 18k? Yet the gti costs about 30, r starts at around 38.
That's not terribly different than the focus.....except ok, non barfy interior.
And FWIW, I see more ST's than I see Si's in my hood.

dude, focus ST with some packages is already 35k (taxes in).. wtf you think ford is going to give away all the extra stuff in the RS? its probably going to MSRP at 45k, add in a few features, and taxes.. and you'll be at 50k
hi noob,
there is actually only 1 package for the st. i've priced one XD And it doesnt make it 35. unless you like rounding to the nearest 5k. but then that's eue XD

Im curios to see what Mazada comes up with their next Speed3. Out of all these various econonboxes, the new 3 probably handles the best and is the nicest overall inside and out. An AWD and 300hp version of the current 3 GT would be an awesome car.

It's always fascinating to me when we come to a *Euphoric like* conclusion aka factual information when we *see* more of the car that has sold the least compared to what it's being compared to. wow reference many witness accounts l'el

Many cars already do this btw. The new GTI (with performance pack), any sport diff audi (that's half of the audi line up), iirc the new sti does it, all new f30 3 series with the e-diff and the new RCF & GSF also do this...oh, so does the new vette!
The torque vectoring is game changing. The car is suddenly so much more capable and adjustable with this. Understeer prone pigs can be steered with the throttle. You just have to get it pointed into a corner first XD
