Surprisingly that one lasted past 300k, so reliability is there, but very uninspiring to drive and it's right up there with your favourite car (toyota matrix) in terms of fun factor. I don't understand what this would be for if you have the S4 They are cheap, fwd, econo boxes inspired by the mediocrity of GM (that cringe worthy interior doe), with some nicer aesthetics.

They had a really funky engine design...but I forgot what it was exactly now (lol wow much help). IIRC it had to do with variable compression ratio heads. The head was chain driven, and under specific load and rpm, could be tilted to increase compression. TWR and Volvo developed the t5r with help of porshe and came up with this beast! peter brock raced one in 1995 12 hour Bathurst race and with jim Richards in 1996 with jim to carry on and winning the 1996 amp super tourer race in Bathurst. when new these were $80 000 and only around 27 to 30 cars came to Australia. 0-100km in 6.7 seconds and top speed 246km!
