The current 1.8 put out 143HP/129TQ

I highly doubted the new Civic will put out OMG 200HP stock.

^won't be that hard to get it tho. it's probably a super tiny turbo internally gated but i'm sure a controller with some more psi and a exhaust can yield another 50whp.

que? those numbers be way to low meng.

The 1.5L engine produces 174 horsepower and 162 pound feet of torque.
The 2.0L generates 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet.
(see google articles just popping up)

The 1.5T feels pretty damn good and yeah it's a small turbo but more than enough for standard trim model (the 2 higher trims). what sucks is i believe you can only get the two base trims in 6spd from what i've heard. cvt in everything above those...hopefully a 6spd comes later. Gas mileage is still apparently good and price will stay in line with outgoing gen.

I think HondaProJason down in Cali at Hondata is already looking into reflashes for it. - Imagine your everyday EX-L or Touring civic pushing another 20-30hp and trq on top of those figures above lol.

Curb weight I assume has gone up but not sure how much. New materials and stamping kept it decent doe.

Curious to see what's in store for the Si eventhough it prob won't be out for awhile. Most likely it's the 1.5T with remap and 6spd. It'd be interesting if the Si came with a CVT and custom performance shift mapping lol. \:\|

Also for the engine I'd assume they would have built it stout enough to handle over 200hp/200trq so all they have to do is reflash the pcm and there's your Si "engine", which is the EXL/Touring motor just remapped. Otherwise not sure if they'd go as far as "beefing up" the motor to handle that extra power...which isn't exactly a mind blowing jump. What would be really great is they put the CTR 2.0T in the Si for here and just de-tune it...because well, we can always just RE-tune it lol. But I doubt that'll happen.

CTR is just a whole other beast...

yeah those are concepts chops that were done. i actually like it better than the ctr hatch lol. there's also a red one floating around too. as usual 'over the top' design and slapped some new 2016 Accord 18" rims on it lol with skirt skit/etc. i think if they actually did something close to this chop above but toned it down a notch it'd be nice. hate that black plastic translucent front garnish looks like our bug deflectors lol.

headlights too big on a new s2k. scale it down a bit and get rid of the chrome and it would be perfect.
rear lights need to be separated and bit lower.

I am sure the new NSX has all the new technology and what not but I would pick the German north of $200K on a car.

I don't particular like the R8 but it sounds amazing. So if I were to drop that kind of cash, it will be the 5.2L V10 550HP ($189,700)
