1. Try newspaper on the exterior glass, not any interior glass that is tinted.

2. Be sure glass is in the shade, and cool to the touch.

3. Be sure you're not using any fabric softener, dryer sheets, or other crap when you wash your towels

4. Be sure to use a microfiber additive in your washing machine when you wash microfiber towels (www.griotsgarage.com is where I get mine)

tryed news paper still resulted in streaks.

but ill give it another try
and for the microfiber towels. there brand new when i wash them i wash them with only water. i dont use any soap or any of that crap. i let them air dry also, i tried those armor all window wipes today. results. are decent still shows streaks and crap thow. you have to go back over them with a cloth, they have showed the second best results do far.

so i dont know but i have to wash the car tomorrow (depending on if it rains) so i will try the newspaper thing.
hopefully it will work.

First thing I would do is take those Armor all wipes and put them in the garbage. Go out and get stoner's invisible glass (its about 3 bucks a bottle at wally). Newspaper is for reading use the microfiber towels for the windows. Spray it on and begin to wipe with one side of the towel. Get most of the IG off and turn it over to finish. You might have to repeat a time or 2 to get all the grime off.

Another option is to use Poorboys Spray and Wipe instead of IG. Also works well and will not steak.

i already have invisible glass haha

i have
invisible glass
armor wipes.
20/20 vison.

and a few other cleaners
ive tried just about all of them

and i use microfiber cloths they still result in streaks.
im thinking that maybe the reason i cant get my sides windows clean is because of my tint.
ti just looks fuzzy when you look through them in the sunlight, so im taking the car back to where i got the windows tinted and getting them to re-do the tint.
hope fully that will solve part of my problem. but i still have problems getting the front one clean.

Tell me this.... are you putting any kind of protectant on the dash? No matter what you use, it'll evaporate in the sun a bit, and of course it ends up as film on the inside of the windshield.

Also, I already said it, but be sure the glass is cool and in the shade.

Well either your windows are fuxored or you're doing it wrong! Honestly I've detailed more cars than most people on here, and I've never had a problem with streaks on a windshield when using the proper techniques. Every good window cleaning method I have ever discovered is posted in this thread. I'm not quite sure what to tell you man...

Edit: When using invisible glass, how much product do you use? If you cover the entire windshield with too much product, I can possibly see that leaving streaks. Try using less product.

So you are saying its just the side windows that are streaking and not the windshield? Just going to ask the obvious and you cleaned both sides of the window? Just trying to help, I mean nothing by the questions.

Invisible Glass + Microfiber is all you need.

I don't spray mine on the window, I spray it on the cloth, then wipe it.

Try using not any newspaper, but the New York Times.
Seriously, the times prints on paper that is significantly different than what other newspapers use and for some reason, cleans windows (with a bit of windex added) without any streaks. Try it.

Educate me...
Why not windex?
I've been using it for years.
What works better than windex to clean glass?

I'm surprised this was missed by people on here.

I know this sounds completely stupid, but I have ran into this EXACT issue with one of my neighbors who uses some shit car wash with wax in it. I would always point out how shitty his windows looked and he told me he's tried EVERYTHING. So I offered to give it a shot.

Now matter what window cleaner I used it didn't work. Pissed I just started attacking it with everything I could think of to strip the buildup of wax off. I used clay bar, dish shop, white vin, (On the outside of course) and then finished with IG. And...it worked.

So uh, try that.

A good friend of mine tints windows for a living and he just uses soapy water and papers towels and has no problems with streaks! But it is highly reccomended to clean your tinted windows with only soapy water unless the cleaner you are using is safe for tint.

best method ive found to to use one of those clothes that soak up the water first like a shammy, or sorber and then use a micro fiber cloth to wipe over the area

I am tried to clean it quite a few times, but it just seems to spread the smudge around. I think it could possibly be car wax because I recently got it cleaned and they used car wax. How could I get that off?
