S4C tranny? That's pretty common. I bet your ring gear is damaged too. The same thing will happen again with another S4C counter shaft. Best bet is to upgrade to a GSR/ITR counter shaft and ring gear, but that means your LSD won't fit.
The GSR/ITR countershaft is the same as far as tooth count, they just don't break like those do, perhaps a different material or surface treatment.

you need a press. I had that happen to me before. I used an e-gay special that someone spent the big bucks on a gear, and sold their stock unit to me. $100 is all I spent. I didn;t make it home I am suprised you did. my stuff exploded on a launch

matco part # mst4518 will do the trick niceley
BEARING SEPARATOR SET
Set includes two of the most popular bearing "splitters" (2" and 3") A bar-type puller head with a 9/16" forcing screw. Four sets of hex push-puller legs Separator tools are used with bar puller and legs for a wide variety of pulling jobs. The 5" puller cross-bar with a 6-1/4" forcing screw or each of the bearing separators may also be used separately or in combination with other pullers or tools. 4518-2 2" Bearing Splitter 4518-3 3" Bearing Splitter Part#: MST4518 Price: $129.95
Meh..I hate to pay the $$ and not even have a press..
I think I can do it w/a few sheets of metal and a press for the same price....

Actually, you do NOT need a bearing press @ all to get the top 2 bearings off that shaft.
And if you need a b16 shaft, I think I may even have one. -Chuong
Doh, I just noticed that I was quoting import tuner. He is right about the case bearings needing a slide hammer.

Cool. But you could have done it without the press and the bearing seperator
