Holy shit. You're lucky to have gotten away with minor injuries. Glad you're relatively OK.

As for the pre-crash question, I use MapMyRide.

Geh. Bummer. Best wishes, mang. \:\(

As it stands now, it looks like it might rain this Sunday--the day I'd ride a century. Dry for ages and it decides to rain that day. I have no intention of riding in 60 degree rain, so we'll see what happens.

I like that! I had some Bontrager Holy Rollers I think on my old SS. Pretty nice but not cheap.

No more centuries in this area for quite some time. I'll see what's around in the Spring.

just go ride 100 miles man! my teammate finally got a road bike, cyclocross bike actually. hes been training all year on his mtb and his longest ride is like 68 miles so far on the road. he wants to do a century now that he has a proper road bike, probably squeeze one more century in this year. like to do 150 miles next year. its been 9 days and sitting inside is killing me, and i have 4.5 weeks left lol

That's fucking awesome/crazy. You're a hardcore motherfucker. \:\)

I got some decent cold weather gear from the inlaws today. I think that might get me to HTFU and get out there sub-40 degrees. 37 and sunny forecasted for Friday...

anybody been riding in the new year? so far according to strava i have 10 rides, 350 miles, 25 hours 14 minutes, and 32272ft of climb. i feel freaking great. i cant wait to race. 5 races in our local mtb series are national qualifiers and all i need is a top 10 to make it. i got a 15th last year in my second CAT2 race with no base training. so im hoping with tons of base this year i can crack top 10. i at least want to upgrade to CAT1

My bike is currently gathering cobwebs as I work on my run focus. I'll dust it off in April as I start my build for Ironman Lake Tahoe.

Got out for a super windy 23 miles yesterday. Between the wind and the hills I was slow as shit. My total mileage this month is something like 73. It's 50 out now, but the gale force wind stopped me from getting out.

I've had a ton of time on the trainer, in 1-hour blocks.

Overall, I'm WAY slower in the winter. Can motivate to train hard indoors. March will be here in a little over a month...

new race wheels for the 29er will be here next week hopefully. 2013 Mavic Crossmax SLR, they are a UST rim. gonna shave 2 lbs off the bike!! these are lighter then my aero road wheels. cray.

going with WTB Wolverine 2.2 UST tires as well, tubeless setup.

Those are pimp. Christ--my 6700 Ultegra wheels are 1640G IIRC.

My MTB is a tank. Easy 32lbs, never weighed it.

Dat shit cray. That setup will be lighter than my "around town crappy roads" setup for my main bike, which will be aero R500's, Kenda Karvs 700x25 with tubes and a tire liner on the rear tire. Boat anchor training wheels, y0!!!

OMG I'm so jealousy!!!

I've done a total of 75 miles on the road so far because of the cold/snow. Did 17 hours on my trainer last month, but even then--1000 miles already is so fucking hardcore.

Another couple of weeks and I should be back on the pavement. It's gonna be chilly for at least the next week. I'd rather sweat it out in my basement than freeze outside.

Ordered my 700x25 Kenda Karvs today. Ready to mount them to my old wheels. I figured out an extension to a regular loop that should work out to around 55 miles total. The fatter tires will make it much more pleasant.

I'll do a post on my bike upgrades from last season once my main bike is off of trainer duty. I trimmed almost 3lbs off of it (and it's still around 19.5lbs).

Can't wait for that first 60 degree day...
