I went to my friends place yesterday to deliver some stuff which I hung on their front door. I didn't even see my buddys face for last 3-4 weeks and what do I see happening on that street?

A bunch of people with Audis having a meet at the house.
There must been 7-8 cars and kids just hanging out in the driveway.

Woke up a couple of hours ago.
Just when I thought I escaped covid for a day... we got one (a diagnosed positive) at around 10pm.
Then forced overtime due to call volume. There were a lot of echoes (echo is the highest priority call on the list.)
One of which was the MVC at Islington and Steeles.
We were a bit far from it, but 5 minutes after that call went over the air, we got banged for a cardiac arrest.

Soooo... 15 hour shift and thank God I'm off and got to sleep in lol.
Today is laundry, groceries, cleaning...
Back to work Monday night.

On a happier note... the community in Downsview put this up across from our station so we'd see it every time we pulled out of the driveway. That was really nice. Wilson between Keele and Jane.

I wonder how many couples that don't live together are still visiting each other's places. Haven't heard much talk on this but I suspect alot of people are still going out. Personally no one is allowed over my place not even family.

I suspect that's going on all over. Think of all the couples that still live at home or at their own places, no way they are not seeing each other this long.

Ive seen activity on my street of comings and goings so it's pretty obvious what they are up to.

Couples are no big deal if they're only visiting each other .

Separated parents trying to figure out custody and passing kids back and forth? It's all messed up for them. They don't agree on anything on a good day.

Or the ones on the verge of separation, now stuck in a house together, non-stop, no bar or club for an outlet. Yikes!

Well, I guess I didn't plan/prioritize it properly ... With HomeDepot closed, open only for pickup/delivery, don't think I can order up the driveway sealer or all the gardening shit I need ...

Wife pulled the whole 'That's what Amazon Prime is for", and "It says Next Day Prime Delivery for me" on diapers, and ... sure enough ... we're fucked now and I gotta head out to Walmart \:\|

Korea ran out of N95 material briefly and suggested manufacturers to produce N88 which is still sufficient.

Then a diaper manufacturer invented a new and efficient way to produce N95, so they are back to game.

I just went thru a process of ordering shit at Canadian Tire. FML it feels like the 80s/90s again ala Consumers Distributing.

War-dialing until you get through, press 0, tell them the product IDs, quantity, name, phone, wait for them to call you back. They call back, verify order, take your CC number manually, then tell you to come for curb-side pickup wtf...

did you actually wait? it's not bad once you're in tho. shelves are stock. plenty of space to walk around. no scum bag families crowding around samples of frozen pizzas and hummus, even less scumbag having sunday brunch at the costco food court.
