wasn't even aware of the panic run until i saw the news (still wondering why tf).
need milk, eggs and bread (for the week) - since i'm wfh, will try to get some this morning to avoid the afternoon / weekend madness.
let's see what i end up getting back.
tp / tissues / wipes - all that stuff we always have enough in our basement - never thought of stock piling in that way.

Yep, similar situation with a place called Smok Cannabis in Ajax where majority of stoners congruate (Durham). Gold mine with no competition (for now anyway).
Ganjika took a few mil loan from some bay street sharks, paid it off in like 5 months  Now self made, doesn't answer to anyone.

3 week lockdown is going to be bonkers.
but if it helps with controlling the spread then its worth it. We always have a few spare cases of TP and tissues so I didn't bother with that stuff. Same with non-perishables too. We just always have that stuff, not because of apocalypse planning but because I actually like those canned soups. Especially in winter. Sure its loaded with sodium but we don't eat them everyday.
Most people in my office are working from home. I don't have remote access yet so I'm going in this week. I'll likely be the only one in the office. I've been driving to work these last couple of weeks just to avoid the subway crowds. I'll continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Things seem normal now except Costco.
Went to Home Depot to stock up on paint and consumables, looks like home reno SZN starts now instead of summer time 
The type of people that go to Costco, I don't think I'd have a problem smashing right in the face. The worst type of crowd, ever.
Walmart/No Frills/Loblaws all good, extra staff working on replenishing shelves.

wifey works (almost) virtual (she wants to keep her desk at the office so she's supposed to show up twice a week - but nobody really checks); so BAU for her
i'm wfh indefinitely, can't vpn in during the day as connections are reserved for critical staff - not a big deal since i spend time during the day dealing w/ the boy (now that daycare is closed too) -- luckily my role doesn't have a lot of phone meetings right now (people can't open bridges anyway lol)

My cousin in Greece is a nurse and has been putting in crazy extra hours to help at the hospital. I found out yesterday that despite being overly cautious, he has tested positive.
 sorry to hear. hope he'll be ok and has a speedy recovery.
kudos to the front line health care workers for dedicating their lives to help others.
