It depends on the brand. For example h&m 18-24 is perfect, but some osh kosh 2t is a perfect fit . She is 27 lbs which is 90 percentile weight , and 95 percentile height for her age

IMO, Bassinet is a waste of money. Buy the infant carrier for car use. Instead of buying the stroller that fits the carrier, buy a Snap and Go stroller to use with the carrier. You can find them on Kijiji for $50. The carrier will last 6-12 months depending on the size of your baby. When the kid outgrows the carrier, buy the car seat and the stroller that you want. This way, you aren't tied to the same brand for everything.

He already has the stoller that will last through the growing cycle of the child. For the carseat (above infant) I would recommend the Diono line. Steel framed and narrow enough that you could put 3 side by side in a car. Don't need 3 then means more room for an adult to sit.

Was looking at these recently - wasn't it you that was selling one? I think having read up on a lot of them, this will likely be the direction we head down the road. The narrowness of it is really attractive as the Golf is small enough as is.

Diono seats are good. Been using ours for 6 years between the 2 kids. Thing is built like a tank. It can be a bitch to install really tight though.

Aren't these required after 12 months or whatever (when you can't do rear facing?)

First of all, congrats!

Sleeping is worse, actually (week 5)

Apparently this is the peak of bullshit, should taper off towards week 8 and then things will settle into normal with less crying and being able to make a routine. so they say

Hang in there, it doesn't get easier (not yet anyway)

Lmao!!!

Add me to the diono crew. Foonf vs. Diono at regular prices isn't much difference. But diono goes on sale often and the difference can't be ignored lol

According to my car seat installer, Clek is the best convertible car seat.

I have 2 Clek for the main cars (installed in center seat whenever possible to minimize side impact), Diono for traveling (sold it because it's way too fucking heavy to carry through the airport and the Clek seems better), Britax for the new small car (the Clek won't fit in a Macan).

We changed from infant carrier at 7 months to rear facing Clek. We waited as long as we could because he was more protected in the carrier from the winter weather (no need for jacket) but it was getting too heavy. He is turning 2 and still rear facing. No complaints from him so no need to forward face yet.

Don't forward face too early like many parents. Watch the video below for comparison.

My daughter stayed in her orbit infant carrier till 1 years old. So handy not needing to put on/off a jacket.

How's the orbit? It seemed like a great seat that the Koreans acquired it? Haven't released a new model since.

Just picked up a Nuna Pipa... so disappointed to find out the Canadian version is missing the load leg so I want to exchange it for something with an anti-rebound bar.

Loved it. It was compact yet very well built and the base was solid as hell. It's a shame that orbit hasn't gotten their car seat certified in Canada.

My wife loved the travel system. Throughout the growing phases depending on whether the baby needs to see the parents all the time or not, it was nice being able to swivel the carrier forward or backwards on the stroller.

Man, can't even remember when we move from infant to rear facing. Most convertible seats can be used with infants though but the infant buckets are much more convenient.

I have both Foonf & Diono Rainer. Both are heavy, but I prefer the Foonf due to anti-rebound bar, deeper sides for more side protection, recline & easy install.

If your kid pukes a lot, the Diono is easier to take the cover off and clean. Diono is also easier to load kid in when rear facing due to lower sides.

Both are able to do 3 across in the back seat.

We switched both kids just after a year, when they outgrew the carrier (1 inch from the top of seat) most kids will never hit the weight limit.

Most swap them because it's too heavy/awkward to carry them in the carrier.

Rear face until 2 years old.

Buy whatever stroller fits your needs, they all have adaptors that can be used with your carseat carrier.

We used a city select with a Britax B-Safe, but there's lots of combo's.

You can use them right from birth if you want. Just have to make sure they "fit" lol. Most require the infant insert.

We kept both in the carrier until they were too big for it. We rear-faced them until they were about 3. Keep them rear facing as long as you can.

I've got the same bucket for the kid and went through the exact same exercise. After reading all these review and watching all these vids, I got the base out and was like WTF? Am I missing shit?? Apparently the support leg didn't get approval from the our Canadian standards or what-not. Still, it's been a great bucket. My kid seems to like it - I throw him in and before he even gets strapped in, he's out cold.

It was so much easier with one kid, we would take turns putting her to bed, feeding, bathing..etc. Going out was easy, getting ready..etc.

Now wife and i play zone defence Pretty soon they will be old enough where they can do almost everything themselves and we just have to delegate.

Also pushing stroller is only guaranteed way for her to sleep so far, so walks are long...until she figures it out too.
