Call these guys up. I helped installed 4 of them, they are good quality and don't wobble even if not bolted to the floor (the 4 post ones)

How hard is it to install? Can a couple of guys do it with ease? I'm assuming no lol
Any details on this cost? I'm going to start saving up my loonies and twoonies

it's my dream to have a two car garage with a lift I only have a 1.5 car garage so I'm trying to get two cars in there.... When I have enough money to get another car.
me too. problem is that i don't have the height unless i get rid of the room upstairs...which might not be a bad idea lol

I don't remember if I posted pics before, but it's a real luxury. I remember replacing brake lines on the NX2000 with it jacked up 2" above my face. Now I can walk under the car and work - more than enough headroom for me (I'm over 6 feet).
I am thinking of putting a two-post beside it - where the NX is right now.

I think 4k will get you a 4 post. they are very easy to install, it;s pretty basic, some cables, posts, bolts, done. Gotta be a little strong though, some of those beams are heavy!
If enough people here want one, we could order a bunch from China for probably- shipped and taxed cost of like $2200ish each

Lol, all that expense and crap to lift the tires 12" off the ground. You're still gonna break your back doing a break job or strain your neck to do suspension or exhaust work with that junk.

Oh man, I love mine. I did all the work on my car with it. Yes you are still on the floor but its way faster to lift and way safer. Its a good bit of kit and a good set of jack stands (not the curved type of axle stands) would set you back about $100 each. Then you still have to jack the car from one side etc. Even a monster 5k lbs pump jack will be about $800 and again you'd still need stands and have to do it one side at a time. On my Mini in just the few things I did myself, i easily saved $1k in labour doing the P/S pump, starter, and coolant hose. I fixed one problem, drove the car a few days, then next problem happended. So I had to raise and lower the car at least 3 times. Now I can get my car up in like 2-3 mins and there's no worries of it slipping etc. I never liked using axle stands and/or having one side of the car up. At least now, all 4 tires are up one time and the car remains level. My winter tire change this year will be easier too.
When I was working on the starter, i was able to raise the car, set the jack on the safety and then disconnect the hoses and put away the motor. The car was up like that for about a month because I could only work on the weekend. Back in May when I was doing this there were still a few cold/rainy days so I didn't work on it on every weekend.
You need more than just height for a full size 2 post lift, you need width too if you have a 2 car garage and plan to park 2 cars in there. My father is a retired mechanic and had a 10k lbs 2 post lift sitting around for 10yrs that I tried every which way to install. But it would just cause more headaches than it was worth.
I wouldn’t call it junk. Obviously one will know what limitations are buying this. Not sure how a BRAKE job would be back BREAKING when it’s lifing 12”. For doing regular maintenance this is pretty good especially for those that don’t have the height to put in a lift.
Exactly, Its a good height for brake jobs. I did buy a little rolling stool so I could sit while doing a brake job. Its legit great for regular maintenance. Welding a full custom exhaust using this might be difficult but doable for someone with the skills. Obviously I don't know how to weld so I wouldn't be doing that anyway. I'd say one could do a clutch with the Quickjack. It's just so much better than using a pump jack imo.
