Becoming a fireman is the equivalent of winning lotto max, it's the most overpaid and underutilized service and it's all held by the good old boys crew. Pretty sure it's harder to get into Fire than it is to land a gig at Goldman Sachs...if that tells you anything.
Having to deal with rescuing people from burning and crashed cars, I can see why they get paid. I don't want to see bleeding people let alone bones sticking out, burning, limb missing etc.
Went to a junk yard many years ago, saw a crashed minivan with blood stain everywhere.
