Where's it hurting? Inner edge, top center, low center, outer edge?
I've had outer edge knee pain that roam roller helped/fixed.
A couple months ago I developed central knee pain that took some physical therapy (simple/basic exercises) to help loosen things up: standing calf stretch, anterior step downs, ankle mobilization exercises. Doc said it was due to tightness in my ankles/feet/toes. After a couple weeks doing the exercises the pain went away & hasn't come back. Hopefully yours is something simple too.
