So I'm getting to the point where I'm inching closer to my weight goal. I'm currently sitting at 214. Pictures are posted in the 2nd post. My guess I'm sitting around 23-25%bf. I'm 6'1 neck 16in waist at navel 39in.

At what point should I start trying to add some mass? I've read anywhere from 10-15%. At 13% that would put me at or around 180lbs 33in at navel.

My thoughts would be get down to 180-185 and begin from there. Thoughts?

Currently I've been a cut for months at or around 1800-2000. I've wanted to shed a good portion of my weight before trying to add any mass.

Maybe get a bodpod test and find out exactly where you are.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't really want to drop the funds on that yet. I was hoping someone could guess estimate. I'm thinking of eating at maintenance or slightly under for 2 weeks to 1 month. I need a break from it as I don't want to fall back into any old habits.

As they say muscle burns more fat, If I was at your weight from where you were I would make sure that you are lifting to tone and continue your progression to where you want to be.

As some one who put on mass through a "dirty bulk", I would say get to visible abs. Then stabilize in your intake to stay there, then slowly ratchet up the calories and heavier weights. The idea is to gain slowly but effectively. It's all to easy to end up with a little muscle and somewhat fat again.
