So your goal is 5'8" ~155 and a 40" chest? That might be a little tricky all things considered (don't do legs?). As you're slight shorter, but not stubby, but you're pretty lightweight.
I've never tracked gain, and chest would be especially hard to accurately track given the fact your lungs are there and change size.
Also, why the hang up on that size. I'd think the amount of "drop" between chest and waist is way more valuable. I.e what you can't gain, lose in the mid-section.
