I wish they could confirm some details. That's a matter for the courts to decide.
It seems in situations like these if the deceased messed up they gloss over it and focus on other things. Easy in this case,the other guy was intoxicated.
Huge loss either way.

Beyond tragic. But i hate how the news takes advantage of this. Also I want to k ow what happened. They are glossing over it which unfortunately is making me think (for now) that grandad pulled into the intersection when he shouldn't have. Kipling has the stop sign ...not kriby. Only a two way stop. I wish they could confirm some details. Book or not that guy is mentally ruined for life.
I too couldn't help but think this too. Either way, this is extremely tragic, yet the parents are so composed on TV...kind of strange if you ask me. I would be completely torn apart and appearing on TV would be the last thing on my mind.

I looked at a few different angles(from news pics) and its not entirely clear... this is pure speculation. but based off that toronto star photo and where the van ended up and the drivers side door being hit, you can rule out a couple directions of travel. (1. van wasnt where that fire truck is 2. Van wasnt coming towards the picture taker ) two possible outcomes left after that stellar armchair analysis is the van having the stop sign(in front of mercedes) and pulled out when it shouldnt have. Or the van coming from the left and the jeep blowing the stop sign coming towards the camera. If we never hear the full details than the likely scenario is the van made an error. The news seems to do that(out of respect or whatever). And if the guy was impaired, easy to focus on that instead. As I said before(it shoudlnt need to be repeated but some people will be upset that Im focusing on accident details instead of the outcome). Its tragic either way.

i see where euphoric is going and i understand, we don't want to throw the guy completely under the bus until all the evidence is out, however, if he's blowing twice over, he's taking the brunt of it. even if the van made the mistake (which i don't think is the case from what i hear), you can't practice defensive driving when you're completely smashed.
i also don't want the rich family to take heat, but it's really unlikely they'd just allow their son's life at 29 to go down the toilet. they'll try anything and everything to preserve some level of normalcy for him. unfortunately, that'll never happen for the victim's family. their entire lives will forever be in ruins.

I am writing this for the 3rd time as I retrieved from submitting multiple. I didn't want to sound like I was siding with that guy. Whatever he did was wrong, and hoping he gets what he deserves. But I don't agree with media, including Facebook and forums attacking his family and their personal lives. People assume they will buy their way out after finding out their wealth. People are digging up old video of his mother's audition footage and titles it inappropriately. That's equally sad. Ok, maybe not as much as losing 4 of your family members. But it's pathetic. The leaked audition tape. I guess she deeply regrets doing that now. As much as this sucks for the family, but it's a equalizer.
I truly believe things get balanced out. So the family will probably pay their way out because they have far reaching arms. Society/social media will determine how heavy the punishment. All equalizers. Either way, it's not looking good for him. In fact this entire situation isn't good.

His OWN lawyer is keeping him in prison, stating they want disclosure etc etc... They could also plead NOT GUILTY at this point. You can continue to review evidence OUT OF JAIL ... This was simply a bail hearing.

Marco Muzzo, the man charged with drunk driving causing death and other offences in a devastating crash in Vaughan that killed three Brampton children and their grandfather, will return to court next month to plead guilty.
The 29-year-old King Township man, the grandson of late Mississauga billionaire developer Marco Muzzo, faces 18 charges, including four counts of impaired driving causing death in the Sept. 27 crash that killed Daniel Neville-Lake, 9, Harrison Neville-Lake, 5, 2-year-old Milagros (Millie) Neville-Lake, all of Brampton, and their grandfather, Gary Neville, 65.
Amid a circus of journalists, Muzzo appeared in Superior court in Newmarket court this afternoon in front of Justice Michelle Fuerst with his lawyer, Brian Greenspan, who told the court his client will be returning to court Feb. 4 to plead guilty and enter in an agreed statement of facts.
Earlier in the day, Greenspan told an Ontario court judge his client wishes to be tried before a judge and not a jury.

Just saw it on the news yeah. Of course he wants judge...cause a jury will ream him and he'll be guilty on at least half the charges most likely.
I bet his defense will weasel their way into getting a judge they "know" and is more lenient on the accused. Hopefully that's not the case and he goes away for awhile. I would assume he's going to get min. 20 yrs no? Given our pansy system. (dat life doe)

Was thinking that too initially, but given the family business sounds pretty high profile and drunk driving is not socially acceptable, if the family didn't own up to some moral responsibility, that could affect their (corporate) image down the road?
Plus entering a guilty plea would be a long shot hope for a reduced sentence.
There's probably too much evidence against him to even fight for a not guilty plea.
